  1. When Correa comes back, I would expect Margo to be DFA's and then when Royce returns Sanata will go. Keeping Martin, Larnach and Miranda. Another injury scuttles this though.. Additionally I think that if Kepler gets hot he will be unloaded for a back end of the rotation arm.
  2. Varland should come back in the pen, but our lack of depth may require him to be stretched out for rotation. Varland';s future is in the BP I think, as he was much better there last year
  3. Remember Steer was in this mix at one time as well
  4. Although hard to disagree with the assessments - I love Polanco, but we shouldn't miss a beat with Julien/Farmer/Lee. If Polanco plays more games then Julien by staying healthy, then this could be debated - but I am doubting that. Arraez is missed, but Pablo is more valuable so that trade happens everyday and twice on Sunday's is asked to do it again
  5. Would be awesome to have all of this come through as the need to part with top prospects to get a #1 pitcher to go with Pablo may end up being the need to push this team to a WS contender
  6. If Severino does just that, then Lee or Martin will be great pieces to trade
  7. I would love to see Martin and Larnach packaged for middle of rotation or higher starter
  8. Not disagreeing completely, but what if he turns into an injury prone clone of Buxton...........................................................
  9. Agree with all of this. Much prefer to have Farmer and/or Castro on the roster over Gordon.
  10. Gordon had a moment of success. Thompson is controllable and can play a different role. Gordon is a short timer as etiher being DFA'd or traded.
  11. I would rather have Thompson than Gordon if that is what it comes down too.
  12. Martin could be a good second piece of a trade to get that SP we are looking for.
  13. Josh Donaldson!!!!!!! No way - he is a clubhouse killer and a waste of money
  14. It will take more than Lee..............just not sure how much. I am thinking SWR and a lower level prospect for either.
  15. Yes - Lee for Lopez would have been a deal I would have done. Agreed, everyone wants pitching so the price will be high to acquire. But with so many young players, adding a quality #2 starter seems the thing to do
  16. To make an impact trade and take advantage of the talent we have, talent will need to go. If it takes Lee to secure a #2 starter with control -- then you do it. If not Lee, then Julien, Martin, and other young prospects will need to go.,
  17. Nick Gordon on this roster to start 2024 is a negative
  18. Plus, didn't he put blame on Jeffers for some beanball issues as he put off surgery to play against the Twins in a final series a couple of years back
  19. And leave Louie in the 'pen. I understand he prefers to start, but his career path for success is in the bullpen. Just ask Glen Perkins
  20. I prefer Solano over Gordon overall from a bench point, but he doesn't play OF. .
  21. Even though Pagan was a constant source of irritation on this site, He did pitch pretty well at times and we may end up missing him
  22. Losing Gray was expected. The 3 years at $75M is a great get for Sonny, but too much risk for MN. He will be missed, but that money is better off elsewhere. Let's just see where we spend it.
  23. I like the Goldschmidt deal first, then the Mountcastle. I don't want Alonso. 1 year and fear of a Donaldson like clubhouse presence isn't worth it to me.
