  1. Best move we could make would be to lock up Gray on a FA deal, Then Kepler and Polanco become tradeable with less minor league talent for a middle of the rotation arm. If we want a big splash then Lee or Julien is on the way out.
  2. I am in on parting with Lee and others to get Gilbert or Kirby. Will take more, but should be seriously looked at.
  3. So true. So many call to add a pitcher, and RH bat. The reality is in order to get we must give, and that means talent that is up and coming. Top end prospects may have to be used in order to get that,
  4. A set of these players will not be directly part of the future, but will be traded away to fill immediate needs in the rotation.
  5. Lee is coming, but unless Martin can become a CF I think he is used in a trade. I would like to fit Whit Merrifield and his versatility onto this team with Castro and Farmer. Gordon needs to go though
  6. Alonso scares me a bit as reminds me a bit of Donaldson in persona and may not fit the clubhouse.......Candelario would be solid and cheaper optionn
  7. If they bring back Castro, which I think is a must, then I would like them to bring back Farmer and let Gordon walk
  8. Nick Gordon replacing anyone on the regular season roster is a downgrade
  9. I also thought may Gray for one more. He has a lot of high pressure situations and this was most likely the best move to make
  10. With Ober pitching on Sunday - he was of no value here. He should be set up for Game #1 of the division series should this go 3. Then a bat will have to go, unless they shrink the pen by 1
  11. The Wildcard round can make for some interesting roster decisions. Do you leave some starters off the roster to have more established bullpen arms? Gordon, nor Gallo, have any business being on the roster. Buxton may be in that category as well. Get to the Division round, then manipulate your roster again. Gray, Lopez, Ryan - I would go with as SP with Maeda coming quickly from BP if Ryan falters - and I go that way as the one with RP experience.
  12. Hindsight on this trade makes it look like a bad one for the Twins. At the time - it was the right move. Lopez for Arreaz looked bad early in the season as well; however a good one at the time and still viewed that way. One that was a WIN/WIn for both teams.
  13. I think the FO will see what they can get for Larnach, Austin Martin, Nick Gordon and Miranda during the offseason. Castro is better than Gordon and Martin's value is high right now.
  14. Heres hoping Gordon doesn't see Target Field again. Casto is better then Gordon and provides the same flexibility.
  15. Even though I have thought Gallo would be the one, I think it will be Luplow
  16. Roger Erickson
  17. The Twins could have buried Cleveland by simply taking two of the games and left them 7 out. Instead it is 5 games and they have life. If the Twins would have taken this past series I think Cleveland passes on the relievers and one gets to the Twins. Here's hoping Buxton comes back to CF and Kiriloff to 1B. Luplow will go, and so should Gallo
  18. Renfro would be an upgrade over Luplow
  19. I would claim both Renfroe and Grichuk. Luplow and Gallo would then go and we have an upgrade. Moore is the othe one that does interest me. Maybe Clevenger over Kuechel as well.
  20. Miranda and Gordon should not be in the mix. Polanco is a question mark on the pickup. If Julien picks up 1B then AK can do some time in the OF. Castro, I am not sure on. I think they will look for trading partners for Miranda and possibly Martin. We had Steer and Encarnacion-Strand in this discussion as well, and a lot are not happy about the Mahle trade. I think it was good at the time. If we hadn't made that we would really have a log jam.
  21. Exactly. Plus if you have Maeda in the BP and not used, He can be Game 1 starter if you win the series, depending on days off built into the schedule. Then you have Ober or Kuechel as a piggy back available.
  22. Ray the game 3 starter, Kenta to the BP. He has experience there, and was dominant in the BP during postseason for the Dodgers
  23. If we could stick Arraez at 1B last year, I am sure either of these two could do it.
  24. I have been a "Max has to go guy", but even I am thinking he may be someone to keep. Larnach was my preferred player, but maybe they can flip him instead. Kepler has pushed himself into a good spot that makes this decision much more difficult, and that is a good thing for Twins fans as we push towards the postseason. I am not delusional and think we can win it all, but with the quality of pitching we have and a lineup that is awaking - just get in and we have a punchers shot at an upset.
  25. I think you will see Lewis as the new CF in 2024. Martin and Miranda will be used for trades in the off season.
