Man, Texas had the best offense in the AL last year; .790 OPS. This year they only have two players who can top that mark and it's almost exactly the same offensive roster. Those bats got old fast.

And yes, I realized I probably just jinxed the Twins by posting this.

Not great news on the Buxton front. In other news it seems like sending Varland down and giving Matthews a few starts is a no brainer… he looked great in his first start and could be a a reliable 4 or 5 down the stretch.

Sigh... a few days of rest for Correa has turned into quite a few weeks.  Hope Buxton isn't heading down the same road but the Twins are the Twins and I no longer expect any player to return soon.

Varland is apparently back to St Paul, per Fangraphs roster resource, but I haven't seen it elsewhere. Nor any corresponding move

Edit: per Phil Miller, per Stringer Bell, Ronny Henriquez is in Texas as the likely Varland replacement.
