  1. I can't wait to hear how Falvey has this all figured out...I never saw anybody in my 60 years continue to believe they are the smartest dumba$$ in every room they are in.
  2. I think you may be right. I wonder if Rocco or any of the other 2,000 front office geniuses have even thought about about Lewis at 1b? For now we are better served with Lee at second, Lewis at third and maybe someone like Alonso, or Rizzo at 1b. It was another Falvey fart to never address this in December. Another sp and rh hitting outfielder would be nice. But that would require Falvey doing something, that's not happening.
  3. We all have our own opinions but if anyone has really watched, and is a student of the game, they would realize that Correa is a bargain for the salary he is paid. Let's not forget who the leader of this team really is. There is plenty of money available to improve this team. The real culprit here is Derek Falvey, he continues to b.s. fans into thinking the team is broke. Excuse me for thinking that if I want to sell my business why would I ever curtail efforts to increase its value? This whole off-season is typical Falvey laziness, indecision, and incompetence. Why do you think his good old boy Levine left town? I love my Twins. The new owners are going to clean this mess. Just because you do nothing and don't screw up doesn't mean you did a good job.
  4. I would not say the pen as it currently looks is one of the best, but it's not crap either. Depth is an issue and the way this team ...how can I say this, keeps players healthy is absolutely horrible. Its way past the point where injuries are bad luck. There is something wrong from the top down. I don't think they know what they are doing. Maybe it's best they sit on their hands all winter because if you don't do anything, you can't be accused of screwing anything up. if I'm selling the team why the hell do I give a damn what the payroll is? Falvey is either lazy, or just stupid. The new owners are going to fire him anyway.
  5. Here's the thing...the bullpen isn't terrible, but they are one sore arm away from being a disaster. As is the rotation and the outfield. They haven't done anything to address the depth or upgrade the quality. If I'm selling the team why the hell do I care what the damn payroll budget is. Falvey is either lying, is lazy, or is just plain stupid. I wish he would just GTFO of town. The new owners are going to fire him anyway. He treats the fans like we are stupid...but we know what's up
  6. In the way things are nowadays, I don't think you can blame a manager for the results. It is an organizational failure. And yes (O MG) that means Falvey. I do not think it was Baldelli's decision to train Lewis at 2b in September in the midst of a playoff race. If one has to go, then they all do.
  7. Yeah, I'm not so sure that this one just goes away. With the rotation we have, we just can't afford to blow any of Ober's or Pablo's starts. I just can't understand why you have to pull him with 80 something pitches and having just retired 15 in a row. That being said, I saw some pretty bad at bats as well. You have got to know going in there that 2 runs is probably not going to win you a game. I feel like they are cooked...offense is stale, bullpen is a train wreck, defense is swiss cheese, and the kids in the rotation are overmatched.. The sad thing is there is no Cy Young pitching for KC. They have scored 2 runs in 18 innings.
  8. I did not look it up and I can't recall, is Neris rh, or lh? Because if he is a lefty, we could definitely use him in our pen!
  9. You're right, I'm sorry...I just thought Correa would be back sooner....it's hard to get info from Alaska
  10. IMHO he strikes out too much....doesn't mean he can't ph in the 4th or 5th inning. I would like to know what his ob% is compared to slg%. Hitters can have a high ops with low ob%. Just seems like he is that guy.
  11. There are certainly games we will lose, but as we know Cleveland just got swept by the Brewers which leaves us at 2 games behind. Considering all the injuries we've had I will take that with 4 games against Cleveland remaining. I am not the only one that thinks Cleveland's luck has to run out. Maybe the Brew Crew just started that. We just have to win each series, that's all.
  12. I am making this assuming everyone is healthy Castro 2b Lewis 3b Correa ss Santana 1b Larnach lf Buxton cf Kepler rf Jeffers c Lee dh Bench would be Wallner, Vasquez, Farmer, and Margot....keeping everybody on the field is the biggest challenge
  13. I would think that's where it is going, however he did look pretty good in his last start. We just saw them take 3 of 4 at Texas. This next series will tell you much about how the rest of the year plays out. There seems to be a sense of calm, almost arrogance about the messages I'm getting from the manager via the FO. If I'm running this team Lewis has no rest days, Correa gets his butt back on the field, and Buxton, come on man...this is a pennant race from here on out. I just don't know...the personnel decisions, the trade deadline non-action, and the total secrecy of injury news seems like they don't want to win....it's just...frustrating.
  14. could put a dagger in Texas's season with a sweep right here. We usually play well at that park.
  15. I like Keller, and Rosario. I'm not sure Rosario is a better option than Martin, and Castro at this point. However, I think Cleveland traded him to Tampa because of his his arbitration status. He is definitely better than Rocchio. In this case, until Correa comes back, I would do it. Willie is better suited at 2b or lf.
