Nothing in the sense that Jeffers didn't advance to third. Could have made a difference if Jeffers was too far off of 2nd. Although I am a but surprised that Wheels Jackson isn't running for Jeffers. Isn't that why we have Jackson?

Agreed even though I am reasonably sure that the previous one would have barely touched the strike zone. I think Culpepper was upset at himself for not challenging that pitch so he challenged the next pitch. Either way, I don't mind the challenge. Keeping the AB alive when you're trying to move the line is important.

I'll defend Jeffers on that third strike. We have been dogpiling on Lewis for a while now about trying to stretch to reach that pitch and to just leave it alone. If it's a strike, you tip your cap to the pitcher. Seems a little hypocritical to bemoan Jeffers of letting a pitch go he knows he can't get to.

Didn't understand it with two outs. I watched it but the cameras weren't exactly on it so I couldn't see how dead Bell would have been at home had they sent him.

Final line for Ryan in Omaha: 3IP, 1 H, 1 ER (HR), 4K, 42 pitches. I would guess another rehab start to get to 60 pitches or so before being activated.

I have wanted Ron Washington as a Twins coach for years. As soon as he was not resigned by the Angels and Shelton was putting together a coaching staff, I wanted Washington here. Alas, it didn't happen. I wouldn't blame Washington if he didn't want to leave California and go to the baseball version of the frozen tundra in Minnesota.

I would say that maybe one of the best all time infield coaches working with him did more than the fans giving up on him. His defense wasn't much better in Miami or San Diego either. I also would still take Pablo Lopez in that trade.

Joe Ryan start in Omaha. 2 IP, 1ER (HR). 27 pitches. Interesting that Omaha also features a rehabbing starter in Gonsolin.

Only explanation that really makes any sense is they feel there won't be enough AB's for Emma. I do believe they have moved on from Wallner. I can see a low-wattage trade whenever the offseason begins similar to what we did with Julien to the Rockies. For the most part, this is your OF for the remainder of the season.

Stubbs is a nice alternative. Almost all of the others have a ridiculous amount of sugar in them, whether it's brown sugar or high fructose corn syrup.

Maybe not at this point in his career. The Twins have done it before. I believe it was back in 2018. They shut him down even though he was ready to come back by mid-September because the Twins could secure an extra year of arbitration.

Thank you for your expertise which, for me, confirmed many of our instincts that Buxton likely shouldn't have come off the IL the last time. Buxton, Zoll, Shelton, and the training staff should have had a long conversation and determined that Buxton wouldn't have been able to help the team after he went down on July 28th. That's when this injury should have been addressed. We may have lost a month of recovery time due to everyone believing he could play through it. We would have found out sooner that we needed Jenkins or other help in St Paul quicker had they chosen this route.
