  1. Emma did get shifted to the 60-day IL on June 12th, but your point is correct. I believe it's either 7 days or 60 days. No different than ML players being on the 10-day IL until they need a roster spot and then move him to the 60-day IL.
  2. Someone send that man some Duluth Trading Company underwear. He clearly has an overworked butt. 😉
  3. I'll take this list and rearrange it based on where I have the most hope of recovery for each player. 1. Royce Lewis - Will he ever be the breakout star that he looked like in 2023? Very unlikely. He can definitely work himself back and be a solid player and contributor to the Twins. His new normal should be at 1st with some appearances at 2nd or 3rd like we seen last night. As long as he can establish himself at 1st, there really isn't anyone behind him to push him out. If he can work himself up to be a player like Trevor Plouffe or Brian Dozier, he will have a successful career with the Twins. 2. Pablo Lopez - I have to assume there will be a 2027 season. A disappointing result would be Chris Paddack. I'm think he may become more of the heartbeat of a 2027 rotation than an ace of the staff. Think end of career Brad Radke when younger, more emerging pitchers were there like Johan Santana, Kyle Lohse, and Carlos Silva as examples. If Lopez can stabilize the rotation, the Twins may even be able to sneak a below-market extension for him as this will be his first year off of TJ surgery. 3. Luke Keaschall - I have him here mainly due to the idea that I don't think he needs a ton of hope to recover his value. Since the team in in flux, each player, where they play, and how they play, is scrutinized a bit more than usual. His defense needs some work. The idea that he is being replaced defensively by either Lewis or Clemens should be a shock to the system. I don't see a current replacement coming up for him from the minors. That doesn't mean that a future trade or low-wattage signing (Clemens) won't push him out if he is not careful. His batting is starting to stabilize, but he will have to show some improvement in his defense to not be in the Julien side of the equation. 4. Matt Wallner - I honestly believe his time has run out unless injury or a Buxton trade gives him another chance. Fedko was called up for Monday's game. Roden is now back in St. Paul and Jenkins is on a rehab assignment in Cedar Rapids. Unless Fedko belly flops or they decide Martin needs a AAA tuneup prior to Roden or Jenkins being ready for the majors, there does not seem to be a path back for Wallner at the moment. He may end up not be tendered a contract since he is entering his first year of arbitration and have to go seek out his own fortunes like Brent Rooker did. Seems silly now that Wallner was expected to be the player to push Larnach out and now it looks like that it is Wallner who will be pushed out.
  4. Not quite, but another few outings like this there will be hope!
  5. Working so far. Kind of expected Banda to come in with 2 lefties including Joc Peterson.
  6. As fewer pitchers are going 5 innings to qualify for the win, I would like to see that rule eventually eliminated, and the official scorer gives the win to the most effective pitcher of the night. Since Paredes didn't go 5 innings, he cannot qualify for the win, but he has been the most effective pitcher of the night so far. If the score holds up, the win likely goes to Rogers.
  7. Don't really disagree with you on that. That's the joy of the Falvey pitching pipeline. Draft low-ceiling pitchers later in the draft, rework their pitching arsenal to maximize velocity and movement, then get them all to be bulk pitchers that can only work 3-4 innings to ensure that we need to burn our bullpen for the series.
  8. Going back to taking out Paredes in that situation. It really was the right call. I believe Paredes' longest start by pitch count is only 65 pitches. He threw 59 pitches and was facing a good hitter, that just took him deep, with opposite handed splits. It was too bad that he couldn't qualify for the win, but it was still the better move to make.
  9. Paredes was thisclose to qualifying for the win. Now it's up to Rogers. Joc Peterson is Joey Gallo with a better press agent.
  10. Someone has to. Paredes made it through 3 innings his last start. He has already eclipsed that tonight. Every out he can give us saves a bullpen arm and keeps us from Lawrence being spun on the Bullpen Wheel of Regrets.
  11. Caserta almost walked himself into an on-air faux pas. Labeling the DP duo the K&K boys. Good thing he didn't include Kody Clemens at first in that statement.
  12. Fedko tried to borrow Vladdy Sr's pitching wedge for that AB.
  13. Just thought of something. The latest Duluth Trading commercial is advertising underwear for the "overworked butt". They should send some to Culpepper so he doesn't tweak his glute again.
  14. 40% of the way to qualify for the win. If Paredes gets through five innings, that will really save the bullpen.
  15. How is he going to build his Mega Church if Kreidler doesn't get some airtime to boost his club membership?
  16. Good job by Paredes to refocus after the challenge to get the strikeout. We have seen too many pitchers this season not able to refocus after an event like that happens.
  17. Looked out in live time, but definitely looked safe on replay.
  18. I see @Cody Christie took time off from development of his new favorite player on MLB The Show, which of course is named Cash Considerations, to finally locate the mysterious pitcher named TBD only to lose him again during the day.
  19. A few things to think about Bell. He has been heating up the last seven days. Also, today is June 15th. I heard this on Foul Territory last week the first date which a FA who signed in the offseason could be traded was June 15th. Since they signed him to a $7M contract, I foresee the only way Bell is leaving is through a trade. He will need to perform better in order to be traded which means he will need to be in the lineup. If you want Bell gone, the best thing you can do is hope for him to get hot for the next month that another team is willing to take a flyer on him. Now to the topic at hand, Fedko. I can see them playing Fedko more in CF than Kriedler when giving Buxton a day off. They need Kreidler to play more at SS as Gray has seemed to have fallen off, both offensively and defensively lately. Fedko likely hit the lottery in terms of opportunity. I think, under normal circumstances, this roster spot would have already been taken by one of Jenkins, Rodriguez, or Roden. Since they are both on the recovery train, he gets a shot prior to them coming back.
  20. Fedko. Fedko. He is not a pitcher. That means Lawrence will still be on the team when they travel to Texas. Now the question is who is getting sent down or out of town.
  21. I still like the challenge system. Gives an added suspense to the game. It also has substantially cut down on arguing balls and strikes with the ump. Aaron Boone still seems to be the only manager still silly enough to do that. My other reason is the way they are using ABS right now. It measures at the middle of the plate and is not 3D. Some of these really close calls likely are actual strikes, but since it didn't pass over the plate where it is being measured, it is called a ball. If they improve the technology to 3D, then I may change my mind and want full ABS.
  22. Let's hope that it's not a fly-by-night tent revival meeting.
  23. I think if it had been two outs, there would have been no question that he would have been running. The fact that it was one out and that ball hung up there longer than you would expect a line drive hit. The fielder wasn't much more than 10 feet from the ball when it hit the ground so he got to the ball fairly quickly.
