wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2023 Author Posted August 22, 2023 Let's see how this little two-gamer goes for the local 9, one of the few teams remaining on the schedule and the start of a tough week. Or will they be looking ahead to the weekend series against the Rangers?
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 A break from the Leftnepitude (659 OPS vs LH Starters) would be welcome. CRF, IndyTwinsFan and wabene 3
CRF Verified Member Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 It's time to pound one of these slop throwing lefties for a change, instead of them completely baffling us with 89 mph FB's and assorted slower junk than that. IndyTwinsFan and wabene 2
Teflon Verified Member Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 I hadn't heard this until recently this but the Brewers are playing the "relocation" chip as leverage for new taxes to finance ballpark upgrades. The White Sox are also talking about relocating. (and selling the team.) Do you think this is just squawking or are their road trips to Nashville in our future? wabene, RpR and Hosken Bombo Disco 2 1
big dog Verified Member Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Yeah, it's too bad the Brewers have to play in that dump of a stadium they share with the Packers for half the year...wait a minute... wabene and IndyTwinsFan 2
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 The Rays have talked about moving too. I would love to see Pohlad come crawling for another handout and threaten to move! So it will either be a situation where it’s the Nashville White Sox, Winston-Salem Rays and the Schenectady Brewers because the bigger markets “had their chance”, or it will just be the Oakland White Sox, Chicago Brewers, and Milwaukee Rays all over again. A lot of these franchises are just tv fodder for the the big market teams at this point anyway. Unfortunately.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Baltimore also is talking about moving.. So far, the Twins aren't....
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2023 Author Posted August 22, 2023 Brewers lineup added to OP.

LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Probably our best defensive lineup. Hope we can score 3 runs or more with this group.

They've been basically treading water for far too many seasons to not expect their ownership group to say or do something like this. I'm a bit surprised it didn't happen sooner. wsnydes 1

But wasn't it Reinsdorf who made the decision to bring back LaRussa last year. And that dugout seems dysfunctional as all get up. I figured they were going to move off Anderson at the deadline.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 I got played like a fiddle by my dog… We already went outside at 4:30 so he could go to the bathroom. He’s been pouting and whining by the door so I thought he had to 💩. Turns out the first walk wasn’t long enough for his liking. wsnydes 1
