Badsmerf Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 So long friends. Signing out of the baseball forum. Looks like another futile effort by the twins in October. Can we open the politics forum now?
Bomba2026 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I hate losing so much if I was a player I'd sail a 350 foot fastball into the stands screaming STFU!
bighat Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I can't wait to start our 3 game winning streak on Monday!!! This is basically the only path we can take in order to keep our sanity at this time. I suppose it's the healthiest way to process what we're seeing also!
DesertTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 After chewing on this a bit, there are still a lot of good teams left in the playoffs and I expect a lot of good games. Looking forward to seeing some of the other series this season has to offer.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I can't wait to start our 3 game winning streak on Monday!!!I like your goggles. Are they beer or arsenic?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 At least I didn't go to New York for thismy buddy bought tickets for 450. But he’s a yanks fan so well worth it
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Pitching staff has to be completely rebuilt. Some good arms in the bullpen, but, the FO will have to get aggressive signing starting pitchers. I have no faith of this happening unfortunately.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 We really cannot get an out. Utterly embarrassing
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Took a break for dinner. Food was good, but did not enjoy my dinner, because I left the TV on.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 This game and this series couldn't have been worse if it had been scripted. Twins pitching has been pathetic. The hitters are swinging at junk and for anyone who still thinks that past history is not a factor, I don't know what to say. Yanks know what the score is and so do the Twins. Total domination. This third inning has taken about 10 hours to play, and its still not over. Yanks are in the Twins head and Twins don't have one single pitcher who can get them out. and we all saw it coming. Every hitter looks like a batting champ. so it doesn;t matter who the Twins play now. The goodbye game is Monday.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 beautiful fall day in portland. time for a walk. to a bar. without tv.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Who the heck is going to be pitching after Smeltzer? Twins might have to actually use high leverage arms just to clean up this ****
adorduan Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 The only good thing about this for me is that I'm going to win some money. I don't bet with my heart. I'd gladly lose some money for win, but that doesn't look realistic at this point.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 And on the flip side..... we have a single hit against Tanaka.
SS MagicMark Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Twice as many Yankees have reached base (14) as have gotten out (7).
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 And on the flip side..... we have a single hit against Tanaka. Seems like it was last week at this point
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 not 3 innings and were at hour and 1/2
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 beautiful fall day in portland. time for a walk. to a bar. without tv.I'm stuck at the home show.... Come by. Really, PNW fans should watch a game sometime. Not a Twins game, an actual playoff game.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I just don’t get it. I mean, was Dobnak your opener, to be pulled quickly? Or was he your starter? Did they have any idea which? Why not leave him in?
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 You know who has to be really angry right now? The Cleveland Indians. "We could have done better than THAT."
howeda7 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I didn't expect to win the series. I expected to win one game and be competitive in the others. This is embarrassing.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Oh. My. God. Over. it’s only the third. If the bullpen can settle things down, theres time to put up 9
AceWrigley Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 80 pitches to get through 3 innings, wow.

DesertTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 I wish I could even get excited about next year, but it's going to be all the same guys out there. There won't be a "oh this is a different team". Keep the field the same, I like their lineup a lot. I've never been a big home run fan, and if MLB addresses the live ball issue, a lot of those home runs will turn into fly outs next year, but these guys hit hard and hit for average as well. Pitching - blow it up.
Bomba2026 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Can we blame Big Mike? Yes let's do so...he is probably sitting in a lawn chair on some beach eating candy bars...
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 This is truly embarrassing. Perhaps Falvine will decide to stick some money into quality pitching this offseason. Or maybe they'll just resign Perez.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 You know who has to be really angry right now? The Cleveland Indians. "We could have done better than THAT." Yost thinking the same thing.
