The other thing people are forgetting is this team survived an incredible rash of injuries. In fact, this team had injuries to the depth that was filling in for injured players.

 

Yeah, I wish the team had some better pitching, but, this team made the playoffs, which automatically gives them a chance. No playoffs, no chance.

 

Pretty simple, actually.

 

Are you referring to the Yankees..... who had a truly incredible rash of injuries? Or the Twins, who had relative few.

Fair enough, but, people are laying a lot of blame on the FO when the team won 101 games.

 

They are in the playoffs, having wildly exceeded expectations.

 

Frankly, I'm tired of all the carping about how the FO should have done this, or, should have done that, rather than just enjoying the fact this has been a year to remember, no matter how things wind up.

To be fair, you cannot win in the post season without starting pitching and the FO did little in that respect. They needed a starter at the trade deadline and didn’t come through, so if you’re tired of hearing about it well that’s too bad

You know what’s gonna happen right? The twins will go out and sign a slew of better pitching and MLB will unjuice the balls. So the offense will suffer

I’ve tried not to be Negative Nancy, but I just couldn’t see Dobnak coming through against the Yanks. He just doesn’t have the stuff to strike out MLB hitters... and now we need 6+ innings from the pen. *sighs*

 

Seems pretty simple for any professional organization to notice, eh?

I was afraid they were gonna bring in Gibson.....I believe the Twins have a curse on them. Did we ever trade someone good to the Yankees??

The fuse has been lit....only a matter of time before the bomb goes off. I think the moment is too big for Randy honestly. He is not sharp. And neither are our hitters. Dobnak won't survive the 3rd inning and Twins won't survive this game. This isn't being negative...if you are watching you can see the Yanks are playing with swagger, confidence and they are getting the calls. Its not a fair fight.

That is about it!   101 Win season and looking like crap

So instead of bringing in a reliever that the Yankees have'nt seen yet, Baldelli goes to Duffey, who they got to already see last night. Maybe later in the game, but ill advised here me thinks.
