Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I feel out of place starting this thread...
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2019 Author Posted March 29, 2019 The Twins are on pace for a 0.00 ERA this season!!
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Marwin Gonzalez is on pace for 162 game winning doubles!
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Taylor Rogers is on pace for 210 IP and 500 K.
snepp Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Taylor Rogers is on pace for 210 IP and 500 K.Slacker, back in the day relievers threw 300 innings. Uphill. In the snow.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Slacker, back in the day relievers threw 300 innings. Uphill. In the snow.In those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Gimme 5 bees for a quarter you'd say...now, the important thing is I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, on account of the war... I don't have any numbers yet, but boy (SSS!!!) do the Twins look like winners. I'm taking the over on my 89 win prediction.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Who had 2-0 in the opening day pool? Four games had that score...
lecroy24fan Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Looks like an MLB record for homers on opening day today. The Twins and Indians combined for a total of 0.

The Twins and Indians combined for a total of 0.I’m not sure how often all 30 teams opened on the same day before. It was not usually that way back in the day. Usually like half the teams played on opening day and the other half opened the following day.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Berrios is on pace for 300+ Ks this season
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Blah blah blah, all this optimism....makes me wanna puke. Players from the Twins farm system are on pace for a .071 batting average this season. The farm system is TERRIBLE!!! FIRE SOMEONE!!!!!11!11!!!
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I think unless there is some unforeseen injury or they lose momentum when the clinch the division in August -- they are on a strong march to 162-0.
Dantes929 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I was asked on a different thread if I was more concerned about OBP or OPP. Not sure what OPP is but I think maybe Outs Per Pitch. I just know Cleveland threw 92 pitches yesterday and the Twins had a .226 OBP. Still, I don't know how many Cy Young winners we will face this year but 1-0 is a good start.
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Taylor Rogers is on pace for 210 IP and 500 K.Not to mention 162 saves! On the negative side, Rosario on pace to strike out 324 times and leave 324 men on base.

woolywoolhouse Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 A three-way tie for first in the AL Central! This division is not going to be decided until the last 161 games of the season!
Dantes929 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Is it too early to say Saturday's game is a must win?
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Buxton is still on pace to break Vince Coleman's consecutive steals record. Coleman probably did his all in one season though, instead of three.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2019 Author Posted March 29, 2019 Is it too early to say Saturday's game is a must win?*Checks numbers* It's never too early to say that! According to the fun numbers.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2019 Author Posted March 29, 2019 So you're not down with OPP?Yeah, you know me!
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Berrios is on pace for 300+ Ks this season It appears the lineups from the AL Central are going to do their part to help turn this into reality. It's still a lofty expectation, but it's projectable with the current lay of the land.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Twins on pace to draw 3.2M in attendance. (The 39,519 that showed up yesterday appeared to be actual human beings that walked through turnstiles.) On pace for 1.000 fielding percentage, and zero passed balls.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Is it too early to say Saturday's game is a must win? Everyone knows games in April count less... so games in March must be worth a quarter game or something like that...
Dantes929 Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Game three. No one else is hitting higher than .200 and we have the guy batting .333 at the bottom of the order.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Today’s starting pitcher threw half as many pitches as the first reliever and recorded one more out.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Twins pitching leads the league in strike outs, notching 40 Ks in 27 IP... I could get used to this.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Buxton, still on pace for 162 doubles
