We are not competing in 26 and 27.  Maybe by then we have some young studs like Jenkins, Rodriguez, Culpepper,  etc.

Maybe

I mean what are we even doing? Do Twins even plan on fielding a major league roster. This is a complete FU to Twins fans by Pohlad ownership. I know the damaged but this goes beyond any of that. How are the coaching staff and remaining players supposed to feel about playing remaining games?

Zero chance. They still haven't finalized a Las Vegas deal, meanwhile Tampa and the White Sox are trying to get a new stadium. After that, you still have a dozen teams ahead of the Twins in pecking order to get new stadiums. The rest of the owners will not let the Pohlads take away one of their threat cities since relocating is the ultimate weapon for these guys.

YES...las Vegas deal has crashed at the moment..A's will be stuck in a minor league stadium for several years.

How would you like to work in Twins ticket sales, or be apart of Twins broadcast team and Twins Alimni. This wasnt just a big FU to the fans, the Twins ownshership Joe Pohlad did a big FU to all of them also. What happened today was an embarrassment to the game of major league baseball and the integrity of the game.

I will be interested to see if Provus says anything...probably not...also what Plouffe says on skor north on Tuesday..agree..EMBARASSMENT...season tickets holders should sue the Pohlads..for fraud..

They needed a co-GM to focus on the offense and defense. Both areas have been putrid for over two seasons. This side of the team could have been re-tooled this offseason, in reality with a couple of these moves today if Falvey focused on OF’s, 1st and 2nd.

There is obviously an issue here. I think the roster construction can in be contributed to poor first round drafting.   There are a lot of picks on the list that have not contributed to making the Twins MLB roster. Lewis has put up 4.6 fWAR and Larnach 2.3 fWAR in 4 seasons, Petty was traded for Sonny Gray. Rooker, Cavaco, Sabato, Miller. That is a lot of first rounders to get little to no value. We can also add Kirriloff’s forced early retirement due to multiple career altering injuries.

We might find out. Would he be the shortest pitcher ever? Sounds like a good gimic.....

Welll.recall Bill Veeck bringing in the little guy as a stunt...maybe try a disco night at Target field...bring the pig over from the St. PAUL Saints...have a real bear on the field as TC bear...the more stunts the better..

Holy cow, Zach LittelL AND Dietrich Ennes got traded? So in 2017, the Twins actually got TWO players for Jamie Garcia who would still be pitching at the MLB level eight years later? Congratulations?

And we let both go for nothing back when.

What have we truly lost so far?

We still have Lopez, Ryan, Ober.   We have Jax, Sands,  Varland.  You have Buxton, Lewis, Jeffers,  Lee.   You have some pieces to build around.

Hoo boy, this didn’t age well. Figured they would move Jax or Duran, but all of them!?

9 empty lockers to be filled including 5 relievers..(the rest pretty much spent time in AAA before being called back up)....Ridiculous...

And the Saints are getting no hit tonight.

I never understood why the Twins gave up on Littell. He was actually decent for them.

I don't think either is even an honorable mention for the Cubs on Fangraphs.

I don't get these trades at all, other than money.....of course. These aren't even good lottery tickets.

Hey Mike long time no see!  As a Cubs' fan, these two weren't even on the teams' radar for anything more than bullpen depth or trade fodder.  Thanks for Willi, he's great insurance for an injury, lefthanded pitching, or in case Shaw turns into a pumpkin again.  A little info on Armstrong and Gallagher from BA:

Armstrong, 24, ranked 30th in the Cubs system and is a rotation depth starter in the making. He’s an innings eater with below-average stuff. Armstrong throws six different pitch shapes. Armstrong has two fastball variations, a slider, a curveball, a sweeper, a cutter and a changeup. He sits just 92-94 mph without much defined movement on either of his fastballs but he’s shows good command of his pitch mix and the ability to locate his slider consistently.

A native of Granite Bay, California, the 23-year-old Gallagher committed to UC Santa Barbara and played three seasons for the Gauchos. After winning Big West freshman pitcher of the year honors in 2022, he missed all of 2023 after having Tommy John surgery. He returned in 2024 to win Big West pitcher of the year before he was selected by the Cubs in the sixth round of the 2024 draft. Gallagher made his professional debut with High-A South Bend to begin the season and was recently promoted to Double-A. Gallagher is a tall strike-thrower with a four-pitch mix and below-average power on his pitches. His above-average changeup is his go-to secondary and gives him a pitch that can generate whiffs when needed. Gallagher has rotation depth upside with a changeup he could fill a No.5 starter role with added velocity.

I wonder what the Twins could get for Rocco?  Could they get an actual lottery ticket for him.  For that matter I wonder what kind of prospect capital Falvey would be worth.  I think it would be great for Falvey to get a fresh start in a new different organization?  Maybe back to Cleveland?  The Royals could use his expertise??  Just a couple of thoughts.  Ha ha

Think about this  , we would have to give another team compensation for them to take Rocco or falvey ...

Levine must of seen something written on the wall and wanted no part of it and left so if he wanted to pursue another job in baseball,  he could ...

Falvey and Rocco should never hold these top positions for another team ,  cleaning out dumpsters is what they are good at , yikes ...

Has a team ever won 10+ games in a row and traded 10+ players at the deadline in the same season? 😆

Just another accomplishment to celebrate in Minnesota sports. What a wild day. I have so many questions

Enns making a comeback was strange and that was a DFA trade, but Littell has been the Rays top starter thanks to their wizardry. It's been a strange career for him, he had a solid year as a reliever for us but then we gave up on him, Giants scooped him up and it was the same one year of success then a swoon, then the Rays made him what we thought he always could be... because of course they did.

Another funny one was Taylor Rogers and Ben Rortvedt involved in a three way trade.

Levine's deal ran out and the Twins didn't want him back, and no other team hired him... so while your second part checks out, it's not as if Levine wanted to go. He would still be here if they wanted him back. I heard he's doing a podcast now with another former GM.

Pretty easy to be a keyboard warrior...maybe you stay there and let the adults decide what direction the team goes...
