  1. I like El Zeborino, now you see it, now you don't.
  2. 10 day, Buxton needs to go on 60 day IL and get surgery for the hip impingement. Hopefully sooner than later. He should not have been activated.
  3. The biggest question has to be why they released Alex Jackson only to bring him back two days later. He never plays and it is clear returning Buxton to active roster was a mistake detrimental too his health. Larnach and Clemens have not been good this month at the plate and Larnach has never been adequate in the field. When this team needed to move Larnach and Jeffers at trade deadline if they were planning on keeping Jackson, Jeremy Zoll blinked. It should have never got out to the media Twins had a trade fall through with Houston for Larnach. This has been a poor year by Twins front office from a talent perspective. This is now three consecutive years the Twins have had an absolutely miserable August on the field and from a health perspective. Three consecutive years of total collapse in August. Twins front office needs a complete overhaul, and re-evaluation of talent and what is needed to build a sustainable winner.
  4. Twins ownership inept, incompetent and pick wrong leaders. They spend money foolishly on stop gap players, and draft poorly. None of the previous 5 to 6 drafts prior to these last 2 years were any good. Not like we have been drafting lower that much either. Franchise needs a total overhaul in front office and talent evaluation. When are the Pohlads gonna finally move on from controlling ownership. If they care so much, find owners that can overcome past shortcomings, of under investment, and move the franchise forward. Twins still cannot draft and develop starting pitching at their core, which is a problem. Drafting and developing starting pitching a real weakness. . If you cannot draft it, you have to be able identify and trade for it early.
  5. Ryan Jeffers and Trevor Larnach dhould have both been traded at the trade deadline. Neither will likely be back with Twins next season or more.
  6. White Sox will likely win division with 86 to 88 wins this year. Twins gonna fade to dead last place again for 3rd year in 3 years. It's time for the owners to step aside and let someone else right this ship. Half measures and talk by the Pohlads with same results.
  7. Twins have now lost 7 of 8 games. When they needed to find some grit the Twins threw in the towel. There needs to be some releases and a shake up of this roster now.
  8. Not even one good at bat since 5th inning. Now gonna be 8 games under 500. Big let down how poorly they have played in August.
  9. Yep, fork or nail the Twin are cooked.
  10. They said Clemens has had 111 batting average in August and he bats 3rd or 4th in this line-up. I like Clemens bat but he is not a clean up hitter. Just not an ideal line-up. Larnach is non-tender candidate and he is former 1st round pick.
  11. Hard to believe 2 weeks ago this was playoff team. Complete and utter collapse in Augist just like last two seasons. 8 total wins this month by Zoll and manager, and players.
  12. Twins ownership ahould be fined bonus pool money or face a penalty for this. Two consecutive years of this crap.
  13. This game is ovah, unfortunately. Lifeless bunch.
  14. 5 pitches that inning to get three outs.Twins offense is a pumpkin in Twinsville. White Sox have 3 hits and look like they will win. Twins bats yelling uncle. Feels like we are down 3 runs or more. Three game losing streak gonna balloon to 5.
  15. Twins have been pure ass all season with RISP. 1 for 12 last year. Been a struggle for two years straight. We should bunt just to anno them
  16. Benintendi, I dislike thee. Twins offense and bullpen circling the bowl again. Benetendi now has 14 career home runs in Target field. Not even a bad pitch.
  17. No, I have been a big fan of Culpepper but his defense may he more suited for second base. I mean he did it last night too, biffed a routine grounder. Then strikes out. Rookies, you gotta live with midtakes I guess.
  18. Another bad at bat by Lewis. He is chasing low and outside again. Just trying to do too much.
  19. Another biffed play by the defense. Ugh, Culpepper blew another routine grounder. Now we know why Twins waited to call him up.
  20. If Byron Buxton needs offseason hip surgery, why not start now. Recovery process from hip unpingement is not a slow process. Very painful injury. The time to start planning for this is now. With labor strife on the horizon might not even be a 2027 season.
  21. This issue grinds a lot of fans gears. Every time Buxton or a front line guy is hurt the Twins probably more than any other franchise plays shorthanded, and keeps hoping the guy comes back. Now with carrying 2 extra catchers or 3 total. we have no speed on the bench. I hope the players associations in negotions doesn't allow teams to manipulate services time or play short. There needs to be a Salary floor in baseball and teeth to the agreement that teams are not allowed to go short of 26 healthy players. In what universe does it make sense for the Twins to carry Alex Jackson on the roster. He doesn't even qualify as a 26th man. Next time Tom Pohlad or Jeremy Zoll say the team is going for it or really trying to make the playoffs, have them take a bow and remind them ithat all they do is pay lip service to building a World Series contender. This team won World series with a shrewd General manager and talent that was taken or drafted with the Griffith regime at it's core, and an exceptional manager that drilled defense as a mindset. We have had some great players In 42 years of Pohlad ownership, Pucket, Krbek, Viola, then Radke, Santanna, Liriano, Morneau, Mauer, Hunter, some formidable plsyers as part of the Twins, but this ownership has never gone for it, or put their absolute best foot forwarx to win it all. Always half measures or talk. This franchise is below 500 and a very mediocre run organization IN RECENT memory. The rot starts at the top with the Pohlads. Long past due for them to sell controlling interest to owners that actually care about winning instead of the same old same old. After last years complete bullpen teardown, and this years lingering pitching and bullpen issues, and outfield awfulness we need a new leader at the top, I guess i'm just super frustrated watching the White Sox thrive, and Twins mired in mediocrity. Kind of PO'd they play Rodriguez in Center for Saints and do not call him up. 27 games left, time to cut bait on players that don't play. Been a very frustrating August.
  22. Lost 2 of 3 to the A's. TWINS are burnt toast.
