I was for trading if you create excess value.   Stewart for Outman is not excess value.   Jax for Bradley is not excess value - Varland - for Rojas and Roden seems ok but not great - but not excess.   Coulombe for Horn seems ok,  but again not an excess trade.   This is a firesale.  This is beyond stupid.   

I can defend the Duran trade,  the rest of this is just yuck.

They basically kept Jeffers because they need a catcher, right? Otherwise I'm shocked he and Larnach are still here.....

So, who is the new 1B? Sabato or Julien?

Martin will clearly be up. And Outman, sigh, will be in MN. 

But no idea on the pitchers. Ober will be back. And I'm guessing Abel has to come up in a week or two.

Because Twins think they can find RP, they are overvalued and are a luxury.   We are in tank mode.  We have several AAA level pitchers that we are going to throw into spots.   Varland should have been kept.  Stewart should have been kept.  I can rationalize Jax is gone in 2 years,  but you likely sold low, very low.

Even with that swap it's highly debatable they received anywhere close to excess value. That's a lot for a teenage catcher in low A.

It looks like with arms they got they might be setting themselves up to get rid of Pablo or Ryan or both next year if they don't make it to the playoffs.  Maybe the offseason. Who knows.
