    Nice send by Borrego. It’s time to give third base coach, Borrego a shout out! This entire year, we hardly ever have talked about Borrego on these game threads. That tells me he’s had a great year. Remember last year? I think Tommy Watkins was talked about every other game.

    I remember being so excited in 2014 thinking the Buxton/Sano combo would give us a great one two punch for years. Unfortunately, that did not work out. Then in 2019, I thought the same thing with the Lewis/Kiriloff combo. Again that didn’t work out. Let’s hope the third time will be the charm with the Jenkins/Culpepper combo.

    It sure seems like you following the Twins makes you pretty miserable. Maybe you should get another hobby.

    Agree. It will be interesting to see what they do with Rogers. I know LaTroy and Shelton really like his mentorship and leadership in the bullpen, which is great. But, you still have to perform on the mound when called upon.

    Agree. I wonder who they will send down when they activate Sands. I was thinking it would probably be Adams, but he actually has looked really good his last 3-4 outings.

    Heck, I think he will be successful whatever he does. Baseball or non baseball. He definitely has that ‘it’ factor!

    Yes, it will. But, I’m guessing the short term plan is Lee backs up short, Lewis backs up third, Clemens backs up first and Kueschal backs up second. Tight but doable.

    I’m curious, can someone smarter (and younger) than me check to see what the records are of this years team vs last year when leading after the 7th inning?

    Pretty amazing that this team has a better record than last year’s team with Duran, Varland, Jax, Lopez, Correa……..

    The count on Clemons was 3-2. Can you imagine the howling if Buck didn’t run and Kody hit into a double play.

    I sometimes wonder if Shelton deserves more credit than he’s getting. Last year on this date, with one of the best bullpens in MLB, the Twins record was 41-46. This year, with the worst bullpen in MLB, they’re 42-46. It just seems like the atmosphere and communication in the clubhouse and dugout are so much better this year. Overall, the team seems to playing looser and having more fun.

    Yes, Larnach has only five home runs, but, it feels like he leads the team in balls hit off the wall. Recently, I can think of a couple balls hit high off the wall at Target Field. In the Houston series he hit one off the wall in deep right center that would have been a home run in 26 parks.
