  1. As much as I enjoyed the Twins comeback win, it was almost as enjoyable hearing/seeing the Mets fans booing the Mets!
  2. Shout out to all four starters this series. Ryan Taj, Ober and Abel, nice job!
  3. As of today, I think you’re pretty much spot on. I do think we will see a couple new names in the next few days, either by waiver pickups or a trade. I think we will see at least one new name in the bullpen. I think we will have a new name as backup infielder, simply because Kriedler and/or Arcia are simply not good options. I would really like to give Roden a chance to be on the 26 man roster.
  4. I’m not watching the game, but I see on gameday, Keaschall got hit by a pitch than was replaced for a pinch runner. Anything to be concerned about?
  5. And, don’t forget Priellip and Andrew Morris at AAA. With a possible outfield of Gonzales, Jenkins and ERod, StPaul could be a lot of fun to watch. Add K Culpepper at short and Mendez at first could add to the fun.
  6. Unless there is a trade, who is the next one up to be removed from 40 man? My guess is Brujan.
  7. Kinda interesting. We sign Bell, we think first base is taken care. And, then we trade for Wangamen. We sign Jackson for backup catcher, so we think catching is taken care of. And then, we sign Carantini. Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for our bullpen to be bolstered.
  8. Hope Kiersey gets another chance with another team. Yes, hitting really sucked this year, but he did provide some value with his speed and defense. The thing I really admired about him was every single time the camera showed him in the dugout, he either had a big smile or was cheering his team on. You could just tell he was living the dream being in the big leagues.
  9. Like quite a few, I was also uninspired by the hiring of Shelton. But, here’s the deal. The decision has been made and he’s now the manger of my favorite team. I wish him the very best! I support him 100%. And, I really hope that by next July we all will be saying what a good thing the manager change was.
  10. It feels like it’s been years since we had so many unknowns going into the offseason. Here are some of my questions. 1. How is the FO going to fix the bullpen? 2. Are they really going to trade Lopez and/or Ryan? If they do, it better be a slam dunk, overwhelming return. 3. What the heck are they going to do with all of the LH outfielders? Larnach, Wallner, Outman, Kiersey, Roden, ERod and Jenkins. Will one or both, Larnach/Wallner be gone next year? 4 Who will be our starting first baseman? 5. Who will be our two catchers? If nothing else, this offseason should be an entertaining one. I’m hoping for positive entertainment, but I’m concerned that it could be a frustrating one.
  11. In two games, Pareda has picked off two base runners. Impressive! Do Jeffers and/or Vasquez have two total for the year?
  12. I met Mickey’s parents at spring training. They were standing next to me watching Mickey in the batting cage. Very nice people who are so proud of their son. Fun conversation
  13. With our bullpen, it would be nice to add one, two…..or six runs here.
  14. Funny. I have closed caption on my tv, it’s really having a hard time keeping up with this guy talking.
  15. I would prefer Julien without a glove at DH, Clemens at first and Martin in left.
  16. My goodness. Why Varland? He could be our closer for the next few years and he’s still inexpensive.
  17. If this trade was for Jax, I would have been very happy. With Duran, I felt like we were holding a winning hand. I feel like we blinked and folded too soon. The one frustration I have is the FO committing to the trade yesterday. I wish they would have had the Phillies, Dodgers, Mariners, etc sleep on it and see if they would start getting a little panicky and overpay the closer we got to the deadline.
  18. It will be really interesting to see what the bullpen looks like Friday night. Unfortunately, there really aren’t any relievers at StP that are having a great season.
  19. Quick fyi. Paddock pitched six innings giving up three hits, one run and no walks in a Tiger win.
  20. Good for him! Really too bad Raya, Lewis and Morris haven’t had the kind of year we all were hoping for.. it would have been nice to see one of those guys up now.
  21. If they weren’t playing the infield in, it would have been an easy double play.
  22. Big kudos to Buxton, starting the ninth inning. Down 0-2 and then working a walk. I’m not sure Buxton of previous years would have been able to do that.
