I always get sad about losing Berrios.  I admit he probably did not want to sign with the Twins and we had to trade him for something.  Hopefully we will see "something" soon.

I think he wanted to play for a team with more potential than the Twins.

Didn't work out so good  for him last year.

I'm not surprised to see this, but wasn't he just NL Championship MVP 2 years ago for Atlanta?

Eddie is one of the type where on the whole they are average at best but seem to posses, spur of the moment,  greatness.

If he produced at that level all the time he'd be in demand.  But alas, he doesn't.

Pirates sign Michael A Taylor. 1/4.

I would have preferred MAT over Margot at that price. smh

The FO heard the voice of the fans and moved on from a strikeout machine.

Well it seems weird to me that you already had Michael A Taylor, and now you have Margot, who is probably the same type of player but they had to give up a prospect for him where Taylor would have just cost 4 mill??  How much does Margot cost?  Probably pretty close to the same and they had to give up a prospect??  That's the only thing that makes me scratch my head on this one?

That, and for all intent and purpose, Margot is probably just a one-season pick-up anywasy as his option year is $12m. But Taylor got greedy and ended up signing for whomever had a roster spot and some money left for his services. Something is better than...a minor league contract.

At the time of the trade for Margot it was out there that Taylor was looking for a 2 year deal.

And word was expecting a lot more money. That didn't work out so well.

Former Twins farmhand, Akil Baddoo has been optioned to Toledo Mud Hens (DET) per MLB.

His Spring Training numbers were very similar to Wallner's.

Jake Cave traded

Probably hit 30+ HR'S.

Most of those HR will come early in the season. He will be the Rockies All Star. Then there will be the people here complaining the Twins let him go for nothing. Alas he will wear down as he actually has to play

From the Cave article on mlb.com:

"The 31-year-old veteran figures to slot into a bench role with Colorado entering the season, offering a left-handed complement to the club’s righty outfielders Brenton Doyle and Sean Bouchard while also providing an alternative to Kris Bryant and Elehuris Montero at first base."

Wow, that says a lot more about Kris Bryant than he ever wanted to hear.

Jesse Chavez. Anybody seen or heard from him? Does he qualify as a former Twin? It looked like we had him for a few hours, but it was a pipe dream. He was great while we had him. Would love to see him come back!
