just bad management of the bullpen.  Pagan was doing what he was asked to do and was yanked for a stupid reason, now we're down 3.  I can't believe I'm even typing this, but he's the most reliable and predictable reliever we have right now.

Plenty of blame to go around.  Duran didn't help.  The offense outside of Polanco put up a big fat goose egg.

For sure but at least we didn't have to reboot the IPAD, it was right on schedule with lefty/lefty.

This bullpen just isn't good enough. Never was, from day 1. Front office malpractice. 

All that said, putting a nobody like Funderbunk into that situation unnecessarily is just stupid.

Or Duran dropping easy DP ball then WP in tieing run.  Or no bats.  Or lots of Ks again.  Or Rocco's decisions.  I'd call it a team effort except for Gray.  Gray has no blame.

Correct. But do you think things like this won't happen in the playoffs? Do you think you might be in a close game or extra innings ever?

I get it, this one is on some bad play just as much, but it just seems to me this kind of thing happens more often than not with Rocco. Not a hard decision to let your best reliever this season get your last out rather than a guy you just brought up a day ago.

All true, except the part about Thielbar , and none of that excuses letting Mark Funderbunk lose this game when he wasn't the last guy left in the pen. 

That's an error at least as bad as those you listed. I'd say miles worse. 

And let's not forget somehow having Gallo start the game but decide that's a bad idea in his SECOND plate appearance against THE SAME PITCHER.
