Muppet Verified Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 If I were pitching against the twins, every inning I'd just intentionally walk the bases loaded. I'd be guaranteed to have a 0.00 ERA.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Yeah...I know it's early still, but the first 6 games definitely lead me to believe that this lineup is going to have issues scoring this year.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Can certainly understand why the Marlins were okay trading pitching.
Mortimerkenny21 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 We're going to score in the 7th. Run(s) please!

It's not just the lack of runs that's concerning to me - it's the strikeouts. 9 K's through 5 innings, that's 60% of their outs coming by the strikeout. Not only does it appear they'll be challenged offensively, but also they don't seem very fun to watch. I'd rather see the Twins get no-hit and make contact as opposed to strike out 10+ times per game. If they weren't early season games I wouldn't be nearly as invested in some of these 2-0 or 1-0 struggle fests.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 There is a runner on second. Maybe we can get him in?
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Okay, runner on 2nd and no out. Let's employ our extra inning offense set. No,............forget about that.

TouchEmAllGuy Verified Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Larnach right where he needs to be in the lineup!!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 I'm starting to have a sneaking suspicion that Trevor Larnach is a really good hitter.

chpettit19 Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 So was I right or wrong about Larnach's lineup spot? I don't know if this proves my point or makes Rocco the genius for having him there.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 All we need is another run, and then Pagan!
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 No way Larnach goes back to St. Paul.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 My fear is that Larnach will suffer a minor injury, and be lost for season.
