Winston Smith Verified Member Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 I just don't get why everyone was so worried.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 I hope this sends Cleveland into a tailspin.
CRF Verified Member Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 "Do you believe in miracles?" Some announcer named Al something, once said that a long time ago.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Is it possible Rocco's doing this to spark moves from Falvine? "If this is what you're giving me to work with, I'm going to play them" type of thing?

He could have thrown 10 more pitches maybe (hopefully)? Also if this prevents Duran from being available tomorrow it's an even worse move.

tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 .... and the Twins get one for the left hand column and are back in a tie for first place. This was a fun series. I'm looking forward to next week and five more games against Cleveland.

Yeah that's where I'm at also. Is he honestly not supposed to consider using 50% of his roster if the game is close? These are guys with MLB contracts, they're supposed to be able to get hitters out - even if it's a 1-run game. That's literally their job.

RpR Verified Member Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Take Thielbar and have him practice throwing to first for twenty minutes.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Can ANYONE explain why Tyler Duffey , is on the roster, and if so pleez explain ???

It's been a rough go for hitters for sure, but I think the 2022 version of baseball makes for a much better game to watch. There's been balls in play, defense, rallies of strung-together hits. The last few years, games have been 4+ hours of strikeout-strikeout-walk-home run-strikeout. Baseball feels like baseball again this year. Gah, baseball is so resurrected right now. You are, of course, entitled to your own opinions.

I think it's on the path to being better but the horribly low batting averages and long games are still a huge problem, both of which will hopefully be fixed by the new 2023 rules.

I think MLB should be running electronic zones in AAA already but it should receive at least a couple of seasons in the high minors to both refine it and give more players first-hand experience with it so the change isn't as jarring.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 The Twins scored 5, 10, and 1 runs this series. Obviously the game we score 1 is a winner.

RpR Verified Member Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 If the Twins do not take the series at Colorado, this game will be worth a lot less because after that come five straight with Cleveland and then a MUCH improved Baltimore.
