PDX Twin Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 All of the affiliates won one-run games tonight (except CR rained out). Maybe the Twins can keep the pattern going? The Wichita game was memorable. The Wind Surge (aka Gust) had a 7-0 lead in the 9th, and ended up winning 9-8 in 10 innings. Their bullpen must be watching the Twins.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 About 10 weak pop-ups to shallow right tonight for this team. I'm guessing the spin will be "they are trying to hit it the other way, what a success!"
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Who's this Daniel Lynch guy? Can we get him on the Twins?

RpR Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Twins only have two strike outs, I will take pop-ups over strike outs.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Miggy Cabrera going for his 3,000th hit tonight

As a young lad I was at the first Cubs game under the lights - 8/8/88. Philadelphia's Phil Bradley led off the game with a HR, and in the bottom of the first inning Morganna The Kissing Bandit ran out of the stands and tried to kiss Ryne Sandberg. Bill Murray was in the booth with Harry Caray. During the rain delay, the Cubs players ran out onto the field and did slip-n-slides on the tarp. The game was rained out and thus didn't count. Best game that never was.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Sigh. Paddock physically reminds me of Sidney ponson.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Miggy won’t get it tonight. Unless the Tigers bat through the order in the 9th.

bighat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Royals playing some amazing small-ball there. Those 2 runs should be enough to put any end to a comeback here. No reason to suffer needlessly, we'll see you all next game. Here's hoping we have more positive things to discuss one of these days.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 almost like Mondesi tried to do that on purpose
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 I miss good bunting... You know, that flag looking stuff you hang off of your porch.
RpR Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Bunts, I wonder if the Twins have hit in the past 20 years?

Only Royce and Miranda are hitters on the 40 not active and not injured. they need to DFA about 4 pitchers, with the state of the rotation not yet fully stretched out and the pen being ineffective, I doubt they remove more than 2 on May 1 to get down to 26

Stashak too if he continues to look bad the next couple weeks.
