RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 The only way Jeffers drives the ball is by putting it on the seat of his car.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Still waiting on any meaningful contribution from Correa.....

RpR Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Well at least the Twins are hitting the ball some where.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 I can’t think of anything more deliciously Minnesota sports than for the twins to go totally out of character and spend money on a guy like Carlos Correa, one of the best in the game with years left of good production, only for him to come here and be total but. It’s poetry in motion.

And a pitcher sporting a 6.75 ERA? I am deeply saddened. I saw Jeffers at DH and actually laughed out loud.

D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Chief was actually a pretty good bowler when he was younger.

Also not sure why Kyle Garlick get's so much love from this manager. He can field, hit or run. Can someone please explain to me what Rocco is doing? Playing the left-handed matchup. Arraez doesn't hit well against lefties while it's the one thing Garlick does moderately well.
snotboogie Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Now I see why Rocco keeps putting in Garlick for Gordon.

To be fair, the league strikes out at a 22.9% rate, while getting hits at a 23.1% rate. That's just baseball in 2022.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Paddack looking good tonight so that's a plus.

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Miguel Cabrera is one hit shy of 3,000 and is leading off the 8th.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Is this game really boring or am I just too bored to imagine it?
bighat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 According to Dick these Twins hitters are "right on it" as they constantly miss cookies right down the heart of the plate.

Danchat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Gotta love how our starting pitching has been way better than expected so far, but then the hitting has been mostly atrocious.

In a very small sample Garlick has 1000 OPS against lefties this year, and 189 wRC+ or 89% above average in terms of run contribution. he can’t do much, but he hits lefties pretty well.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Maybe we need a streaker to run across the field to fire this team up....

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Man, I think the front office moves got me fooled again. I was ready to expect nothing and then they reeled me back in. Lucy and the football vibes. This fella with the career ERA near 6 is throwing a gem
RpR Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 GEE, for catcher we could have had not so good bat but excellent fielding, or not so good bat and not so good fielding; sure glad they took the latter.
