operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Can the Twins hire whomever is in charge of the Yankees’ shifts?Tony Diaz must be in charge of ours!
Blake Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Yankees defenders have been in the field for a long time this inning. Eddie needs to make solid contact and hope for the best.Pretty much everything you asked for. Amazing, isn't it?
insagt1 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 sigh....we are truly cursed. No doubt about it. We can't buy a run. In the old baseball days before shifts, that was a clean basehit. Now our best pitcher is out and we got him zero runs. thats 7 left on...no maybe 8. And a total failure to produce with RISP. Maybe we're saving it all up for the 9th???
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I know I couldn’t take one more gameGood chance your wish will be granted.

Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Hooray! Rogers!
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Taylor Rogers in place of Odorizzi. Really need to get Gardner out ahead of a dozen righties.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I can't believe Baldelli isn't saving Rogers for a possible game 5!
glunn Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Twins are just not going to catch a break will they. Not yet but they get to bat four more times.

Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Rogers, sure why not. Hooray! Not Gibson!
twins_89 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Rogers finally gets to make a meaningful pitch in the series. I guess Rocco decided to make sure that he actually gets to use his best relievers in a game.
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I've turned off the game, think I'm better off just checking the live GameDay score on the interwebz at this point. Seems to be pointless torture and suffering, continuing to watch. Why do that to yourself? Gets me thinking about how many other great things there are in life besides baseball. A walk on the beach, a bike ride down by the lake, a good snowfall on a crisp December morning, etc. You know things are bleak for your team when you start getting philosophical about this kind of crap.....It's really true though. I could've spent so much time fishing with my family this year as we normally do instead we stayed inside and watched nearly every game only to watch the Twins disgrace Baseball in this series. I lost my temper tonight even and said mean things. Is it really worth it?

ashbury Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Rogers in. I guess thats OK.Needed this mindset in Game 1, in addition to tonight.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 How many 1.2.3 innings for twins pitching this series?
glunn Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Hopefully Rogers' dominance will spark a rally here.
JNess21 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 All year the Twins have shown us fight. I refuse to believe they will get swept.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 if this game stays close and we still lose and don't score any runs....we can pretty much say that everything thats possible to go wrong has gone wrong. the pitching stunk for two games, and was good for one but the bats disappeared in a pile of strikeouts, popouts and other assorted outs. If somehow they pull this out of the fire, it would be a HUGE lift for everyone. they have had more chances to score than the Yanks.
Brian450 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Well, if someone had said we'd give up 2 runs in the first 6 innings after the debacles in NY, I think we'd all take that... GO TWINS!!!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 The pitching side of today's game is making Baldelli's previous decisions in game one and two pretty suspect...

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I predict a Garver HR here.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 This reminds me of a bad 80s comedy with the loser high school kids trying to “score” and all the pitfalls they encounter.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women! "Success can test one's mettle as surely as the strongest adversary". I'd like to see the Twins' mettle tested by success before this series is over. 'Cause the "strongest adversary" bit ain't going so well. Or at the very least it would be nice to see them solve The Riddle of Wood.
