Yankees traded for Chapman after he got in a domestic incident and then flipped him to the Cubs for Torres. Then they signed him in the offseason.

Taking a PR nightmare (which it wasn't) didn't have anything to do with Theo giving them Torres for a rental.

That's the part I was referring to.

Confused.

Chapman fired a gun off at his home during a domestic incident of sorts. Never was really defined.

The Reds decided they didn't want him anymore and put him on the trading block.

Most teams stayed away from him... The Yankees didn't they gave up four prospects. Played him... and then dealt him to the Cubs for Glayber Torres and others at the trade deadline.

Nobody really remembers the incident anymore that caused him to be acquired cheaply.

Rogers not as shut down in inning two. And everyone thinks these guys can just easily go multi innings

I didn’t have a drivers license the last time we won a playoff game.

I’m now bald

watching this team in the postseason will make you pull your hair out, that's for sure.

well, thats it. Now we're done. I think the only team Didi gets hit against is Minnesota. He owns us. Rogers not able to slam the door. Why not. Just about everyone else is failing, he may as well too.

Imagine how game 1 may have turned out if Baldelli had used tonight's relievers then? How do you not go to your best relievers in an effort to win game 1 when you have the chance? They had to split in NY and winning the first game is especially important as it was quoted by the announcers that 73% of first game winners end up as series winners.

I agree on the HR record.

A 100 win regular season is nothing to sneeze at.

However, ultimately you're remembered for the post season. And righfully so. And this team really isn't built to win in the postseason, and was a bit unlucky to lose so much starting pitching down the stretch.

I was just talking to a friend about this.

100 wins is impressive but given the home run record on top of that, it's likely the 2019 Twins become a sad footnote of baseball, just like the 2001 Mariners...

If anyone remembers the 2019 Twins at all.

The season hasn't been a failure because they lost three straight games, but it IS embarrassing and if anyone in the future thinks back to this team, it'll be wryly.

The Twins had the same shot. Wouldn't take it. Wouldn't fight to acquire a Verlander, trade for a Cole, a Greinke.

When talent is available, acquire it.

Pitching..........go get some Falvine. Then we can look on the bright side.

Its apparently not only pitching. “Las bombas” have a way of disappearing in the postseason. See how good we are manufacturing runs

Offense, bullpen, and starters failed when it all mattered most.

"What have we got on the spacecraft that's good?"

I think it's pretty easy to separate the Chapmans of the world from the Verlanders of the world.

I'm okay with my favorite team passing on the Aroldis Chapmans of the world 100% of the time.

I'm still not crazy about Sano being on this team.

I don't think they were even built to win in the regular season. Cleveland wins this division if 3/5 of their rotation and Ramirez don't miss a significant portion of the season.

The good teams in post season are the ones that can score with 2 outs. Yanks can do that while the Twins are incapable of one single lousy clutch hit tonite.

They have 3 more chances. Geez, at least score one run for the faithful fans. At this point thats probably the best we can hope for, barring a total, unexplained turnaround.

I know Wryly, he’s good people. I don’t think he spells it with a W tho

I have much more faith in this teams offense than what they call pitching. This team gets some pitching, it can go places.

If the FO doesn't get a high end starter during the offseason I expect the same result as this year. Berrios is just not ready for the big stage and I doubt Graterol or any minor league pitcher will be ready for the Ace job.
