bighat Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Damnit! May used to have a nice breaking ball he trusted. Where is that? Love what Johnson has done so far, but May should be a pet project. Find his breaking ball again and you could really have something. I think May has been the pet project of just about every coach on this team for years. He's been Mr. Potential for years and either hasn't achieved or is just not as good as most fans/coaches think he is.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 This bullpen has 1.5 trustworthy arms...Roger and a half of Harper (not ready to fully commit to him given his small sample size). Honest to God, I just assume at this point that if any reliever other than Rogers enters the game in even a borderline high leverage spot, they will give up a run. It's like clockwork. Morin seems to be quietly effective.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I bet Cron didn’t learn that defensive position from his little league coach. Probably those bums in Anaheim.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I just returned from dealing with the kids. The mood here seems.....icier?May only had a FB and Parker allowed a seeing eye single
denarded Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I love Cron, but man alive, square your body up on the ball, lame effort but i don't hate. You've been great this year
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 That’s an 0-2, 3 run homer. God help us we need so much help
bighat Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I just returned from dealing with the kids. The mood here seems.....icier? Bullpen issues tend to start up the crank-o-meter.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 What's that sound? Phones of out of contention teams ringing with a Minneapolis area code in the caller ID?Repeating myself for the sake of...well...you know
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Like, how many relievers do we need to pick up to win in October? 3? 4?
Diesel Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Like, how many relievers do we need to pick up to win in October? 3? 4?Yes
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 There's gotta be some roster moves tomorrow. This bullpen is getting ridiculous. Parker needs to go. May may need to go as well.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Parker on the other hand, I don't have faith in. His stuff is so bland. That splitter isn't scaring anyone and the get me over curveball is just a show me pitch. Fastball is a slow ball.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Parker's gone down the Addison Reed route - 2 dominant months and now complete disaster. Outside of Harper and Rogers nothing has gone right for this bullpen... we need help and it ain't coming from the minors.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Yeah, this game is over. One of those days. What the heck, chicken for dinner every night gets boring.
curt1965 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I’m speechless! Wonder if FSN will televise Rocco’s post game comments?
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 So Eades gets the win tonight? Work with me here!!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 The worst part about this is the our starter went practically 7 innings. 7.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Like, how many relievers do we need to pick up to win in October? 3? 4?8, because we must have a 13 man pitching staff.

Reed was a much better pitcher in his time as well.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I'm not concerned. Finally a challenge for this offense. Twins will probably explode for 8-9 runs in the 8th and 9th. Should be fun to watch...
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Time to give Stashak a looksee?
HawksNest Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 This team is beyond screwed come playoffs if we don't add 2 legit bullpen arms, minimum.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 The bullpen may not be awesome but at least we have payroll flexibility. LOL!
bighat Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Like, how many relievers do we need to pick up to win in October? 3? 4? I think 2 is the bare minimum, 3 if they want to really give this thing a run. They need at least one starter as well, again at the minimum.
Linus Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Some sloppiness creeping into the Twins games recently. Interesting to see how Rocco handles his first non cumbaya situation.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 This team is beyond screwed come playoffs if we don't add 2 legit bullpen arms, minimum. And 2 legitimate starters
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 The bullpen may not be awesome but at least we have payroll flexibility.Well, it could make room to trade for a couple relievers and a starter. A good chunk of the free agent relievers have performed poorly anyways. I just wish we could start the trades now and not have to wait until the last 2 weeks of July to do it.
