  1. This is absurd going in to next season with Dobnak, Gant, Albers, Ober, and Barnes as part of your 2022 starting staff. No thank you. I appreciate your effort, but I would like to win. Our offense is going to be depleted next year. Our pitching needs to step it up. That list of dudes is not inspiring.. FO do something.
  2. Jorge was going home from first the second the ball was struck. Love it.
  3. Uggh. This makes me so optimistic for next year with nothing concrete to point to. I do think we did really well with our trades, but we need to start producing something more than corner outfield lefty hitters. There are a lot more player types, and we need a few of them. As mentioned above, Kepler's energy was a good sign coupled with Polanco having another good day
  4. I know it's 4 plus months into the season. Did we rely to heavily on a 'shake the dice' bullpen for too long? I feel if we brought in 2 or 3 relievers a game we might be better served than the 3-5 we trot out every game. I don't have the time time or knowledge to go to sites to serve this out, but I'm amazed how much we use our shaky bullpen out of the gate. I can't find the numbers I want to prove this theory because I'm not smart. Thoughts? Aside from I'm dumb and can't use Google properly.
  5. Excellent points, Jorgenswest. ALL High School draft picks are crap shoots, but picking kids with great natural talent and flexibility make for good choices. I like Petty's effortless motion. Always have to hold breath on hard throwers' arm issues, but he looks good. Cue Tom Petty's 'The Waiting'
  6. Sano giveth, Sano taketh. Colome needs to be dfa'd. Even his good games are mediocre. Appreciate the 5 wins, but boy howdy, this is an under-performing team that needs a jolt of something to show promise for 2022
  7. Sorry for dumb question that may have been answered. This is my first game watching West Coast Swing. Who is the color guy with Bremer?
  8. Was gonna watch to see Arraez and Buxton, but them not playing = me not staying up late. This team is not worth being tired the next day for. Sorry for my pathetic dedication, but jeesh....this team is not interesting enough to watch (Especially WC games) Go Twins.
  9. Lighten up. We've been to the playoffs the 2 years he's been here. Granted, we're not going this year, but I'd rather have a team that has post season potential more often than not. Baldelli deserves heat, but he should not be fired for what a mess the bullpen has been and the injuries that are head shaking and the aging of Donaldson and Cruz and the lack of pitch recognition of Sano and the number of rookies forced into playing ahead of schedule and having played 7DIFFERENT guys in CF (has to be a record 65 games into a season) Baldelli is doing the best he can with the cards he's dealt. Has he made some bad decisions? Yes. Calling for his head the first year we finish below .500 is a bit knee jerky. And not to be to 'homery' we'll clear .500. Or lose 110
  10. I was at the Twins@Cubs game a couple of years ago where Rosario and Kepler I believe were removed from game for heat exhaustion. I also made a bad decision. Sitting on rooftop (all you can drink) and realized two hours after game sitting in bar that I had not gone the bathroom in 6 plus hours. Knew that could not be good
  11. Don't understand? I'm pointing out this is not an MLB lineup
  12. 2 things. I just now checked in on game. Other thing is this lineup on June 9. 3 of these guys should be on lineup. As Husker Du once said 'Makes No sense at all' 1. Kyle Garlick (R) RF 2. Josh Donaldson (R) DH 3. Jorge Polanco (S) 2B 4. Miguel Sano (R) 1B 5. Ryan Jeffers (R) C 6. Trevor Larnach (L) LF 7. Rob Refsnyder (R) CF 8. Willians Astudillo (R) 3B 9. Andrelton Simmons (R) SS
  13. Thanks for the article. Donaldson is not a plus. He'll be on IL soon, and next year will be a mess. Include Sano. We'll be better soon, but this should have been a playoff year. No question about it. If we finish 10 games behind White Sox this year We'll be 15 next year. They are missing best 2 players and still have a pitching pipeline. Gordon is depth, not the future. Sorry for being a Debbie Downer, but I'm a fan and no matter how optimistic I'll be in February I want to use this as bounce board to remind myself what a fail 2021 is
  14. The team should be pro-active in making the medical move. Never leave it up to the player. I salute effort, don't salute hurting your teamates while playing below 75% capacity
  15. Morneau discussing strike zone is spot on. I've been made fun by my bar mates watching baseball and me @2007 talking about using lasers for strikezonze. I had some knowledge and knew umps were screwing the game. 14 years ago. Now the same people who mocked me are screaming about the strike zone. Just glad to hear Morneau make mention, because it's out of control
  16. I was glad to see Rogers in to pitch to 3-5 hitters. Bring your best guy in in to neutralize best rally.. Our problem is we have no 'finish' solution. Oh well
  17. I rail on Sano. I appreciate the power. I would prefer more 2-5 days than the 0-4 he usually gives. Does this make me Tom Kelly?
  18. Glad to see Morneau back in booth. Glad to see Sano hasn't skipped a beat
