Parker Hageman Site Manager Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 The Minnesota Twins have announced they have traded RHP Pat Light to the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations. Light was designated for assignment last week when the Twins claimed infielder Ehire Adrianza off the waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers.

Parker Hageman Site Manager Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 I'm impressed they got cash, frankly. Nicely done. Once upon a time, MLB's prospect gurus said that Light was #16 on the Twins' prospect list.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Once upon a time, MLB's prospect gurus said that Light was #16 on the Twins' prospect list. Is that an indictment of the gurus, or the shape of the system, or both?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Ray Searage is someone who can make Pat Light see the light.

darin617 Verified Member Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 What a joke! I hate to say it but how many pitchers have the Pirates turned around and made them into quality arms? Of course, not every time will it work but Pat Light seemed to have more upside and should have been given a shot.
ashbury Verified Member Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 What a joke!Apparently the Twins' new FO couldn't stand Pat. *rim shot**rim shot**sad trombone*

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I'm impressed they got cash, frankly. Nicely done. They would have gotten the waiver fee otherwise, right? This is probably nominally a bit higher than the waiver fee?
