Seriously? "Most days"?

Look at the game logs. This tied his shortest start of the season and was certainly one of the few worst outings he's had as a Twin.

Most every starter has some days where they just can't find it. We just saw Sonny gray have a similar meltdown against Chicago.

To act like today's lousy outing was representative of Archer's season is totally disingenuous.

Disingenuous? Have you watched Archer this year?

He literally runs into a wall nearly every start. Early in the year they could let him go 4 and if/when he got himself into trouble there were 4-5 arms that could at least get 3 outs and bail him out. Now? The Twins have maybe 2 reliable arms. The regular season is a marathon; you can't hide guys for an entire year. We're seeing in real time what happens when you do.

Wow... well, this is what happens when you throw out the likes of Bundy, Smith, Archer, and Cotton against a good offense. Turns out going cheap for pitching doesn't work! Good thing our pitching pipeline has some arms ready... ?

Uh...I wonder if the FO realizes we need some PITCHING HELP! Wow...this is not good.

Amazing how pathetic this team is.  ...........And I'm referring to Cleveland and chicago WS.  Whoever reps the AL Central in the post season should be thankful.

In the post game interview, Rocco blames the poor at bats late in the game

When this was termed a "developmental year," I didn't think that meant exclusively in the minors...

He has had high pitch counts early all year because he can't throw strikes. He is cooked, watch with your eyes. Done.

He looked pathetic today. I'm not arguing that.

He pitched better for the entire month of June than any other Twins pitcher and we've only seen him twice since, so we can overreact as much as we like, but if you proclaim every starter "cooked" and cut them all after one bad outing, you'd have already discarded every starter in the league.

Whats this pitching staff gonna look like when ya cant hide it with all these off days lately, 1-2 different pitchers gonna make a difference ??

It isn't the pitch counts so much as the control that seems to absolutely disappear somewhere between the third or fourth inning. His early season numbers were unsustainable; the bullpen woes have only magnified that.
