And now fricking Jake Cave will most likely be called up. I'd love to see them do something crazy like call up Lewis or Miranda instead. I know they won't, but it would be nice to usher in the next generation of special talent while we wait for Bux.

I don't know what the equivalent of the Batsignal would be for Jake Cave, but there's no need for them to fire it up at the moment ever. Fixed.

LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 I've torn my ACL. If Buxton walked off without a limp, he didn't tear his ACL. I could walk in a straight line but not turn at all without severe pain.

My wife walked back to the car after she tore her ACL skiing. It was the non-walking movement of getting into the car that confirmed for her that something was seriously wrong.
CRF Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Somewhere there's a squirrely little guy with a voodoo doll of Buck, and he keeps sticking pins in it. It's off the charts incredible how he just keeps getting dinged up in one way or another. Please...PLEASE don't be an ACL. Keep thinking good thoughts!

MN_ExPat Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 I've consulted the Magic 8 Ball again about Buck, asking if he'll be ok. The answer... So shall it be
LastOnePicked Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Alright, I actually gotta do some work around here. Don't let 'em lose this one, gang.

You can walk in a straight line i without pain but any other kind of movement that requires a twist or a lift causes a lot of pain. I didn't see it but that might be a way to assess severity. A meniscus tear (I've also done that, 3 times) allows for much more freedom of movement.

bighat Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 A win today despite whatever happened to Bux would go a long way towards boosting morale. How about a big hit from Correa "get on my back, boys"! Ryan looking stellar.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 As soon as i heard Smalley, i switched to the Red Sox feed, Feeling like a Traitor to my team i switched back , Think im gonna need Therapy though , I just dont understand what the Twins fans hear that warrant his position ?????

The next day my knee was twice it's normal size and I couldn't bend it for the next three months. So yeah, you can walk after tearing your ACL.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Team is saying Buxton has "right knee soreness" but is still being evaluated.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 "Right knee soreness, still being evaluated." That's the word from Provus. If from Gladden, it probably would have come out, "Still being elevated."
