PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 And they're training the next generation of Twins down in AA where they gave up a 3-run 2-out homer to fall behind 4-3. Just like the big boys!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 I think I’m the bad luck charm for MN sports tonight. Just switched it to the Wild game to see Las Vegas score a goal. I’ll listen to a podcast instead and follow along here.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Oh great, Here's Kano with the bases loaded. This will go well.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Lol we are the WORST team with bases loaded and nobody out. The worst. It can’t even be close.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Yang leaves at exactly the right time. That's how you use your Andrew Albers. Sadly, I don't think Yang will last long in MLB with his AAAA stuff. For that, you need the great precision and guile of Maddux. As with Albers, it is unlikely Yang will get better than what we just saw.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Atta hustle there Kepler! Positive AB!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Of all the stats in the game today, someone has to be able to find out who has scored the least runs with bases loaded and nobody out. I would be dumbfounded if we aren’t in the top 5 worst
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 I can't wait to see the day where Kepler and Sano are no longer on this team.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 An 8-inning start last night allows Texas to go to the bullpen early tonight Just sayin’
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Disappointing, but far from unexpected.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Bases packed, with no outs. Twins swing from the heels, fail to score a single run. Legalize the bunt!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 I’ve got to imagine I’ve seen that exact thing happen no less than 15 times in the last 3 years.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 I have to say. Sano may have gotten out, but his at bat looked really, really good. In comparison to Polanco and Kepler I mean.
Danchat Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 I've noticed they haven't been blasting as much dubsteb music between pitches like they did in 2019-20, maybe that's why the hitters are slumping so bad?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Sano is looking like a big addition to the roster. / yes, I am saying he may have put on a fair amount of weight during his time away

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Author Posted May 6, 2021 Atta hustle there Kepler! Positive AB!Would we have benefited by calling a bases loaded hit and run?
bighat Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Thought I'd skip the game but figured it would be fun to peek when the Twins had the bases loaded and no outs. How wrong I was. I hate saying this, but this team straight up sucks.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Sano is looking like a big addition to the roster. / yes, I am saying he may have put on a fair amount of weight during his time awayYikes... Is he in need of another lifestyle reset in Fort Myers?
Linus Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Yesterday, Rocco in response to question about using Waddell: "Y'know, he's here for a reason." Today: Waddell to St Paul. Thanks for making me smile Chief. I look forward to your next story.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Would we have benefited by calling a bases loaded hit and run? As it turned out, a straight steal of home would have been a better call.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 As it turned out, a straight steal of home would have been a better call. Can a team put on the Hidden Ball Trick when they are on offense? I'm thinking subterfuge might be our only hope.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 I have a question for all of you. Why did we go to "trade everyone, cut everyone, fire everyone, start over," in the matter of a few games?Because after making the playoffs in 3 of the last 4 seasons, the expectation is that this current team would compete for a pennant. And if you believe this current roster (and manager) is capable of that, well I have a bridge to sell you
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Author Posted May 6, 2021 Sano is looking like a big addition to the roster. / yes, I am saying he may have put on a fair amount of weight during his time awaySo can we expect him to pull his weight?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Yikes... Is he in need of another lifestyle reset in Fort Myers? Those were the days
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Because after making the playoffs in 3 of the last 4 seasons, the expectation is that this current team would compete for a pennant. And if you believe this current roster (and manager) is capable of that, well I have a bridge to sell you So why can we not fix the problems? Does everything need to be blown up?
Muppet Verified Member Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 I can't wait to see the day where Kepler and Sano are no longer on this team.Didn’t they give Kepler a lifetime contract a couple years ago?
