Playoff Game Thread: Twins @ Yankees 4:07 PM CT, 10/5/19

So instead of bringing in a reliever that the Yankees have'nt seen yet, Baldelli goes to Duffey, who they got to already see last night. Maybe later in the game, but ill advised here me thinks.

 

Duffey..... excellent choice, Baldelli.

This is the most gut wrenching thing to see for longtime twins fans. I have no words

 

Yeah this is pretty awful and depressing.

 

Yankees and their fans had no respect for the Twins coming into this series. The Twins are a joke, they said. And they look 100% right.

I have watched the Twins all season -I realize that playoff games are rare occurences and should be treasured but this is not enjoyable. I am going to go watch College football. Enjoy the rest of the game fellows.

I really hate the way some fans lecture others on not getting too invested or upset about all the losing.  Then when we win those same fans want to brag and party.

Not even close. It's a good, not great, team. Especially without Pineda and a healthy Gibson.

Twins will get to tie the Blackhawks as the worst playoff team in pro sports history. Next year they can get us all excited again and then make sure they're alone in that department.

How embarrassing....and Duffer is still out there...how was Dobnak worse than him? Rocco is too quick to go to the bullpen. We will never get out of the 1st round cuz we play the Yankees....we could win 150 games and we would still play them.

When they named Duffey to the playoff roster I didn't realize it was 2018 Duffey.

Ha! Was there really even a chance with the pitching staff we have? Maybe average at best, given the schedule we played. We'll probably, should score a few runs, but our f-ing owners won't address the need for a couple stud pitchers if they want a winner. I call them out - they don't give a $%^$ to have a real winner, just good enough to win a few games.

I don't want to rip anyone's head off, certainly not any fellow Twins fans.

 

But yeah I think we're all feeling pretty depressed and frustrated with what this team has shown so far. We all hoped for better and were dreaming of an upset.

 

This isn't fun for anyone, it just sucks.

Pitching staff has to be completely rebuilt. Some good arms in the bullpen, but, the FO will have to get aggressive signing starting pitchers.
