twinssporto Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 I think Smalley is pretty good. He says "big end of the bat" too much, but understands hitting and conveys it pretty well. More than almost anyone of the rotating color guys, he is willing to second guess Twins players and I think that is pretty refreshing. However, I also like listening to TK. I don't know if he'd wear well for weeks at a time.TK is awesome. He will need to take out the wad of tobacco when on air though. Does anyone remember the funny TK parodies KQRS used to do on TK? Hilarious.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 I mean, Detroit will probably be back eventually, but I think it's hard to imagine Gardy will be the manager when that happens.probably not, but that doesn’t matter, he’ll teach those guys to play the right way, definitely need a new manager when they’re playoff ready though, Gardy has a terrible record in that respect
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Neither. I use as walleye bait. What's the trick to walleye fishing? I'd like to get into it eventually.
Brian450 Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Shhh!!! Morton just surrendered a hit... "No-hit" bid is over.
BD57 Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 A necessary sentiment - but it also burns part of the soul to say it. How about "Don't Go Tribe"?

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 My only real issue with him is that he tends to ramble sometimes.I watch most games on mute with music playing in the background though.so in other words, your only real issue with him is when he talks.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Stating the obvious, but Oct. is less than a week away -- and this is a relevant game - and relevant for more than just a one game wildcard spot.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 I'm jumping on a plane right now and flying direct to Chicago to cheer the Sox on. It's worth the $300 ticket. Will post from the stadium. It's only a 45 minute flight from MSP. Stand by...might make the 8th inning.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Catching walleye. Well I feel like this is with any fish. I typically go bass fishing, but would love to get into some walleye. Tasty mother f'ers and they are abundant as hell in the Central New York lakes.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Could tonight be the night-, Got a ice cold Hamms Beer waiting -- have had a few Millers- waiting, for the clinch,, From the land of sky blue waters

I don't know if he'd wear well for weeks at a time. I wasn't harshing on Smallley in the original post. I just like Morneau and Hawkins etc. more. And yes, Kelly would be a burden for a week, but he's great for a couple of games
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Nice play by Rosario. Or was it?

I wasn't entirely sure anyone lived past Westchester County anymore.
ScooterDance Provisional Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 I hope we hit a bomba in the ninth so we can be the first team ever to hit 300

twinssporto Verified Member Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 What's the trick to walleye fishing? I'd like to get into it eventually. The trick is years of frustration and patience chased with a lot of beer. Then more beer, bait and boats. We can discuss trolling and jigging later. Get more beer. I think we're gonna clinch it tonight!
