Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Omg strike two was a meatball and he popped it foul
Blake Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Gee, what a surprise, Boston pitches around Kepler to get to Sano.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Sano. Who could have seen that coming besides anyone who’s ever seen him play. What are his clutch stats? Lots of big hits in blowouts. Most unclutch player on the team, possibly
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Random question. Do HBP's count in OBP? Yes.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Still like Sano, but the minute I saw the catcher set up outside, just knew strike 3 was coming. (Sigh)

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Why Sano’s strikeouts don’t matter.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 We're probably not gonna win playoff games with our pitching so if our offense looks like this if the playoff time comes, it's not going to be a long run.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Unless he could have slid for garver, not sure there was much he could help withReally? He couldn't have noticed 3rd base moving in behind Garver?
drock2190 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Sano needs to be sent down if he can't hit a low 90s fastball down the pipe.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Did you miss the selection of stats in my repsonse to your post? If you don't think Sano is contributing, and needs to go to the minors, than judging by OPS, so do Kepler, Castro, Cron, Buxton, Rosario, Schoop, and Gonzalez, as they ALL have a lower OPS than Sano. Your dislike of Sano is clearly not based in any amount of rationality.yeah he’s great
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Omg strike two was a meatball and he popped it foulMust be the first time that's happened in baseball ever.
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 We need to trade Sano + Lewis for Rendon if we want to compete.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Everyone on that field knew it was a 3-pitch strikeout before he got up there. Incredibly terrible inning. We're still in this one though!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Run expectancy matrix for 1st/3rd/0 out... 1.784 Twins vs Red Sox run expectancy matrix, 1st/3rd/0 out:
adorduan Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Sano K's on 3 pitches, the last a slider down and away. i hope nobody is surprised....
70charger Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 "The Twins somehow don't score." Yikes.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Why Sano’s strikeouts don’t matter. You can't put all the blame on one batter that inning. It was a collective choke. Garver can't be picked off there and Rosario also had a bad at bat.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Sano. Who could have seen that coming besides anyone who’s ever seen him play. What are his clutch stats? Lots of big hits in blowouts. Most unclutch player on the team, possibly He should practice his clutch more...….however it is you do that.
Danchat Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 This is why I'm concerned about Sano... yes, I know he's hitting .900 OPS right now, but against tougher relievers and in tight spots he's just hacking away and hurting the team. I'm surprised Pineda isn't going out there for the 7th... not sure if I'm ready for at least 3 innings of our bullpen against the Red Sox.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Must be the first time that's happened in baseball ever. Right, sano usually comes through in the situations and I just cherry picked one at bat. Let me pick my eyes up off the floor. They rolled square out of my head
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Nobody complain, we have a good record.
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 He should practice his clutch more...….however it is you do that. Not clutch hit. He just can't make contact on pitches in any ABs. That's why he always failed to be a productive hitter
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 He should practice his clutch more...….however it is you do that. If I knew how to become a better ball player, I wouldn’t be on twins daily. Perhaps miguel will find it out soon?
