If it were 2500:1 on next year, I'd throw $20 at it. Maybe even $50. There is a lot of time for moves to be made to improve this terrible team next year where we may have a glimmer of hope. And we may have a new GM to make it happen. Maybe. We'll see.

 

But for this year? No, no. That $20 would be better off putting it on a hand of blackjack, and just letting it ride for 11 straight wins and walking away with $41K.

FWIW, Fangraphs has us at 0.0% across the board for playoff odds.

Except, somehow, in "coin flip mode", we do managed 0.1% in playoff/division/ALDS odds.  I guess because no one has ran away with our division yet (although we have pretty much run away in the opposite direction).

 

Looks like we were still at 0.5% playoff odds two weeks ago, and 0.2% a week ago.  Now I guess it is 0.049% or less...

It is still at least theoretically possible for the Twins to make the postseason, but only in the event of some cataclysm on the order of 11 plane crashes of other teams' airplanes and a willingness of MLB to continue the postseason after such an unthinkable loss.
