My guess 6 for 7, 4 HR 11 RBI, 7 diving catches. Twins lose 13-12.

I'm trying to figure out where Buxton will bat in the lineup. Molitor might just bat him 1 right away, or he could let the kid watch the pitcher for a while, then bat 9th or something. Either way, I'd tell the kid to swing as hard has he can at the first round, white object that gets near the plate. Maybe pound one out like Rosario!

1. Buxton

2. Mauer (imagine Buxton on 1st. whoops, now he's on second. A single scores him, = Mauer in RISP mode)

3. Dozier

4. Plouffe

5. Vargas

6. Rosario

7. Nunez

8. Escobar

9. Hicks

What will Buxton do? Oh, an average game... A home run, a couple triples, three run-saving, inning ending catches. three runs scored.

1-4 with a strikeout.

Oh, go ahead and blame me for jinxing it if he does. And if he does better than that, you're welcome to say "SEE??!" I won't mind. I'll just be happy for Buxton.

2-4, infield single, triple, 2 K' s.

Hit for the cycle, throw out a guy running to first who thought he had a double and steal home.

Is Nunez the C? That would be interesting

... And make an unassisted triple play

He goes 0-5, commits an error.

Twins Daily posters promptly say trade him for bullpen help.

Wait, aren't you a Twins Daily poster?

I suggest waiting until he at least plays at Target Field before deciding.

I'll go with 3-5, SB, robs Fielder of HR with circus catch.

TD posters lament the lack of foresight by TR in failing to get Buxton signed to cheap deal through arb with team options through first 5 years of free agency "before he priced himself out of this market."

1-0 game in the ninth, Fielder at third, 1 out. Moreland hits one deep, dead center field. Buxton leaps and takes away a HR. Fielder tags, Buxton gets up and runs home; beats Prince to the plate and tags him out. Game. Set. Match.

Don't be silly.  In that lineup, obviously Mauer is catching, Escobar at short, Vargas at 1B and Nunez the DH.

And HEY!  Who's the putz who's keeping him from wearing #7?  Some guy Meyer, or something like that?

Not trying to throw cold water on the Buxton debut, but the the player I saw this spring wasn't ready.  He has shown he can handle AA, but the trip to the majors is a huge step. I won't be surprised if he struggles greatly as a hitter, but a few infield hits might keep the BA above the Mendoza line.

He should be a force in center field, he has terrific skills and is pretty much fearless. If he gets on base, he is someone to disrupt the other team.

Far different player than the one in ST.

I doubt he's going to set MLB on its ear with his bat any time soon, but he's likely to be one of the top 2-3 CF in short order.
