  1. Any chance we can get Gray and Jesse Hahn? so our rotation actually would start to look legit and I'd have to believe one of Turley, Gibson, Santiago, Hughes, or even Heston can fill in the 5th spot. I know it would probably take Gonsalves and Romero +. I would offer those two plus Blankenhorn, Stewart, and maybe even Rosario (and put Grossman at full time RF. Not my favorite idea, but he hasn't been that bad in the field this year) My hope is that we don't have to give up Polanco or Gordon. I wouldn't be opposed to it, as I believe everyone is very much available (except Sano) and I feel we'd be better off-road wait and see if we trade Dozier or extend him. If they did then one of the two would be available
  2. I hate to say this but I'm hoping that a 3B in some organization(not ours) underperforms/ gets injured(feel bad for saying it) and Plouffe plays great in spring training and becomes a very interesting player to trade for, because this Sano to OF experiment shows no positive evidence, only negative evidence. It's just not going to work.
  3. Can he play catcher?
  4. Twins sign Ryan Sweeney. Best candidate to be our 4th outfielder next year. http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/ryan-sweeney-signs-minor-league-deal-with-twins/
  5. If Milone gets traded to the Nats he's going to win the NL CY Young and the World Series. That's just how trades work around here
  6. Plouffe + Milone For Storen, LHRP Nick Lee, C Jakson Reetz Would this work?
  7. Terry is bluffing.... I hope
  8. did not know about the opt out. Could pull a Grienke and end up with more money. Smart contract for Price, however I feel like the Red Sox(and Detroit as well) are going to become the new Phillies. That's when Price realizes he doesn't want to be on a team that refuses to rebuild and he chooses opt out.
  9. Do we still have James Beresford? If so, then let Nunez go. James is younger, can play all infield positions (C?), is cheaper, and after he put up solid numbers in AAA last year he should get his chance. However, I'm not sure if his defense is better than Nunez's or worse. I'm sure it's better.
  10. Doubtful we make a move on a SP (as I feel that TR believes he spent enough on the rotation), if we do though I'd want Grienke. He seems like his stuff will age well as he doesn't rely on his velocity and he seems consistant and because of this his age doesn't scare me, however Cueto and Price both worry me, one with being able to pitch at ace level in the AL and the other with the lack of postseason success. I truly believe Grienke's contract is the one that people regret the least after its all said and done.
  11. I think you give Danny Santana the chance to redeem himself. I want us to give him one more shot. Give him that time (1-2 months+ before Buxton is ready) to show us that last season was just a sophomore slump and that there is more to Danny Santana than just a .500 OPS, defensively challenged SS.
  12. I wasn't comparing the players directly but using the example of Kepler that if a talented player in AA put up Park's numbers he should be in the MLB.
  13. I've heard that the KBO is comparable to like an in between league of AA and AAA so like an AA+. Anyway, if Kepler(using him as an example) hit 53 hrs drove in 146 RBIs and had a slash of .343/.436/.714 and an OPS of 1.150, do you think he'd be called up to play in the bigs? I think the kid will hit and I think he belongs here. Don't expect his video game numbers to translate equally here in the states, but don't expect failure either. I think he ends up being a very solid #5 or #6 guy in our lineup.
  14. Most people I have asked have said that Japan is AAAA and that KBO is AA+. I don't know if that is entirely accurate but that's what I've been hearing.
  15. The idea of trading JR Murphy to the Brewers makes since as he is young and controllable, but a Plouffe, Murphy, ABW2 is not going to net us Lucroy and Arcia, and probably wouldn't even get us Lucroy. The Brewers aren't going to trade Arcia, he's their #1 prospect and he's basically untouchable. A team that is rebuilding isn't going to be interested in Plouffe because when they're projected to be in contention again(2018-19) Plouffe is going to be a FA. A trade of Jorge Polanco, JR Murphy, Kohl Stewart, and ABW2 is a starting point that makes more sense for the Brew Crew, however I still think they decline the offer.
  16. Son gets no bids http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/11/ah-seop-son-no-bids-posting.html I'm a little suprised no one put a bid on him. He reminds me of Nori Aoki a little with this contact approach from the left side of the plate. Better luck next year, Son. Lotte Giants are probably going to be posting Jae-gyun Hwang (3B) and he's most likely going to get more attention than his teammate.
  17. Is Cam Bedrosian, Joe Gatto, and Jett Bandy (throw in) from the Angels a realistic return?
  18. And that's probably the result of Danny Santana batting .400 until July 31st and then Getting a concussion, the day after we trade Buxton, and never playing again.
  19. Ah gotcha, son.
  20. I heard Park speaks fluent English.
  21. I agree. I think Nishioka when I look at this guy, however it would boost the Korean fan base for Minnesota and would potentially have us as favorites in the Korean market(like the Yankees and Japan) I'm a big fan of this. That's why Max Kepler is my favorite prospect. Kepler adds something most players don't have, German influence, and if he's good then could potentially make Minnesota a landing spot for German ball players. Got a little off topic there anyway, Son is not a need but could fill a spot if they end up trading away Arcia.
  22. Korean outfielder has been. postedhttp://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/11/ah-seop-son-posted-november.html Do the Twins want to acquire another Korean player? Probably not, but it will be interesting to see where he goes.
  23. I predict the Brewers. Phillies don't have a very big need for him as they're stuck with Howard and the Twins love to stay quiet on these kinds of things.
  24. Pittsburgh did not win the bid: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/11/latest-byung-ho-park-winning-bid.html Down to the Twins, Brewers, Astros, and Phillies.
  25. Brewers are trying to trade Lind. Astros primarily use Gattis at DH and Valbuena at 3B(but I guess they could play him there) and they have Chris Carter and prospect A.J. Reed(couple years away) to play first but Carter has struggled to keep his BA up and his strikeouts down. I'd say we are favorites, but then again I'd be expecting the Twins to be bold.
