I wouldn't mind Colby Rasmus on a one year deal to re-establish his value.....Better outfield defense and Schafer ends up where he should (reserve role) and Hicks ends up where he should (AAA).

That would be a team that could hang around for the second wild card spot most of the season.

I think a trade for Peter B from St Louis

Bourjos or some other defensively gifted player that can play CF.

Why you no like Bourjos?

Personally, I'm not big on trading for no-hit outfielders.  You can get defensive minded outfielders on the waiver wire. His bat is about the same as Alex Presley, he seems to be a player that has a bigger rep than he deserves.

I would say that Bourjos is a better CF than Presley.  Also when you are throwing out an outfield with Torii Hunter and Oswaldo Arcia and not to mention the powerful Vargas DH'ing.....give me a defense first CF and hit him 9 in the lineup.

I can only see relief pitchers coming over or maybe a reclamation project or a minor league contract/ AAA filler stuff.  We have a solid lineup 1-9.  our bench sets up well and we have options in AAA in case of injuries.  Our rotation has depth 1-4 with 4 #5 starter options plus Pino and Berrios in AAA and Duffy and Rogers close behind too. The only roster player I can see the Twins going for is a reliever.

I don't believe the Twins need relievers. They have plenty they need outfield defense

This can't be right, I think they just spent 8 figures on some outfielder a week or so ago.  Outfield defense must have been a factor in that deal.

Right, but you don't have to trade prospects to get a defensive minded CF.

They have quantity but not enough certainty.  I think Terry Ryan has said they want some relief help.

I'm all for some relief help but I can't stomach paying a reliever multi millions over multi years, when we have plenty of league min guys in the mid/upper levels of the minors and plenty of failed/already under contract starters that could be moved there.

so he has a higher OPS against the Twins then any other team.  1.012

Yep. Twin Killer. That's why we think he's so much better than he is.

I would

Be shocked if Meyer was moved as you are trading him at a low point.

I don't think any SP gets traded but if one does it's prob Nolasco (plus money) or Gibson (still unlikely)

I think they add a bullpen arm and call it a day. Maybe a trade or two as well.

Aren't relievers about the easiest parts of the roster to move, if and when the desired state of "logjam of talent" occurs?

I think the Twins are done. At the Winter meetings anyways.

Santana is enough to ponder, discuss and re-hash for the rest of the off-season.

If the Mets like Eduardo Escobar and would be willing to trade Dillon Gee or  a great reliever for him, i'd consider it. But Escobar is one of our best contact hitters.  and he simply puts in it play.  was hitting . ~ .300 for like the first 4 months last year.

Also Escy's OPS is higher than one might expect, he had a lot of doubles, it seemed like last year.  and he has 5-8 HR pop potential.

Well the questions has already been answered.  the Twins signed Brayan Villareal to a split contract.  He is a reliever who is wild and k's a lot of people.  in 2012 with Detroit he k'd 66 in 54.67 innings and had 28 walks.  last year he spent most of the year with Boston's AAA team.

So we are after relievers.

I wouldn't trade 4 years of Escobar for 2 years of Gee.

Clearly not.  Have you missed all the well thought out Duensing trade suggestions that have failed to come to fruition through the years?
