thelanges5 Verified Member Posted January 28 Posted January 28 FanDuel just released their 2026 Over/Unders: They’ve got the Twins at 73.5. Addressing the bullpen with 1-2 more experienced arms and fixing the jumbled roster may add a few wins but this seems like where they’re headed.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Sure, sign me up for the over. New managers tend to give the team a boost, even if there's no rhyme or reason to it. But mostly, I think the "top" teams in the AL Central are frauds. I wouldn't be surprised if a .500 team wins the division this year. I'll fight any of you if you call me an optimist though! Cory Engelhardt Verified Member Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I'm taking that over. Frankly I'd take the over if it was set at 80.5. Please know that I might either be committed, or I should be :)

Parfigliano Verified Member Posted January 28 Posted January 28 At this point I say under. Hopefully that changes as the end of spring training gets closer.
The Great Hambino Verified Member Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Under. 69-93 after another selling trade deadline I am optimistic ... for 2028 Vanimal46 1
tony&rodney Verified Member Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Hey, in all seriousness, the AL Central is available for as few as 81 wins. Usually though some team will outperform their expectations. MLB is wobbling a bit and the ALC is wonky.
Linus Verified Member Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I think 75.5 should be the number so I’ll take the over.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I just got the under at 74.5 for $100 at Fanduel. To be fair this bet was -106. So I'll only net ~$94 Vanimal46 and Danchat 2

amjgt Verified Member Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I'm with the "optimists" feeling that over is the play, but if I was going to argue the other side... If the Twins were on track for 74 wins on August 1st, I believe there would be players traded away, which would push us towards the under. Said another way, if this team doesn't trade anyone away, "over" feels like a good play, but obviously projecting trades is difficult and will play a big part in the over/under. His goal for the season was to finish out of the playoffs and waste the trade value of Jeffers, Ryan, Buxton and Lopez just to win 75 games instead of winning 65 games? I almost asked the same question, but I'm sure it was an attempt at satire. If the POBO of a professional team publicly predicted that their team would be below .500, it wouldn't just be picked up by the local guys, it would be on ESPN and national outlets. The Twins would have no choice but to fire him on the spot if for no other reason than he cratered attendance and TV revenue three months before the season even started.
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Gargantuan sized ifs...Lewis, Lee, Keaschall, Wallner. Buck staying healthy. There's a path to a team that is over .500 but the Twins never catch a break so, under is more likely.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted March 20 Posted March 20 FWIW, current Fanduel Twins O/U is 72.5. -114 over, -106 under

Linus Verified Member Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Don’t any one worry, Tom Pohlad said an over / under of 73.5 is “ridiculous” so we got that going for us. BTW I’m taking the over - the lineup is going to exceed expectations and the bullpen will be lights out. Put me down for 74 wins 😀

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I’ll take the over, but not confident in it. I think this is a 75 win team, assuming they sell at the deadline.

If injuries derail the difference makers like Jenkins, E-Rod, Priellipp etc, or we punt on promoting them, it will be difficult to hit a stretch goal of 75 wins. Sad to say.

Oh yeah, this team has a high variance. It could be a 65-win team as easily as it's an 80-win team.
