FanDuel just released their 2026 Over/Unders:

They’ve got the Twins at 73.5.
Addressing the bullpen with 1-2 more experienced arms and fixing the jumbled roster may add a few wins but this seems like where they’re headed.

Sure, sign me up for the over. New managers tend to give the team a boost, even if there's no rhyme or reason to it.

But mostly, I think the "top" teams in the AL Central are frauds. I wouldn't be surprised if a .500 team wins the division this year.

I'll fight any of you if you call me an optimist though!

I'll also take the over ... because I'm an optimist. Falvey set a goal of winning 75 games and we have been told he is pretty smart, so 75 it is.

I'm taking that over. Frankly I'd take the over if it was set at 80.5.

Please know that I might either be committed, or I should be :)

I personally am going to reserve the right to feel the Twins certainly could finish over .500 (again, because the AL Central is just that bad), but still be overall disappointed in just about everything the organization is doing.

Go for it! :)

Hey, in all seriousness, the AL Central is available for as few as 81 wins. Usually though some team will outperform their expectations. MLB is wobbling a bit and the ALC is wonky.

I'm with the "optimists" feeling that over is the play, but if I was going to argue the other side... If the Twins were on track for 74 wins on August 1st, I believe there would be players traded away, which would push us towards the under.

Said another way, if this team doesn't trade anyone away, "over" feels like a good play, but obviously projecting trades is difficult and will play a big part in the over/under.

Did he really set that as a goal? His goal for the season was to finish out of the playoffs and waste the trade value of Jeffers, Ryan, Buxton and Lopez just to win 75 games instead of winning 65 games?

I almost asked the same question, but I'm sure it was an attempt at satire.

If the POBO of a professional team publicly predicted that their team would be below .500, it wouldn't just be picked up by the local guys, it would be on ESPN and national outlets. The Twins would have no choice but to fire him on the spot if for no other reason than he cratered attendance and TV revenue three months before the season even started.

Gargantuan sized ifs...Lewis, Lee, Keaschall, Wallner. Buck staying healthy. There's a path to a team that is over .500 but the Twins never catch a break so, under is more likely.

Don’t any one worry, Tom Pohlad said an over / under of 73.5 is “ridiculous” so we got that going for us. BTW I’m taking the over - the lineup is going to exceed expectations and the bullpen will be lights out. Put me down for 74 wins 😀

I’ll take the over, but not confident in it. I think this is a 75 win team, assuming they sell at the deadline.

Depends how aggressive we are with prospect promotions this year... If injuries derail the difference makers like Jenkins, E-Rod, Priellipp etc, or we punt on promoting them, it will be difficult to hit a stretch goal of 75 wins. Sad to say.

Oh yeah, this team has a high variance. It could be a 65-win team as easily as it's an 80-win team.
