Let's see how this little two-gamer goes for the local 9, one of the few teams remaining on the schedule and the start of a tough week.

Or will they be looking ahead to the weekend series against the Rangers?

It's time to pound one of these slop throwing lefties for a change, instead of them completely baffling us with 89 mph FB's and assorted slower junk than that.

The Rays have talked about moving too. I would love to see Pohlad come crawling for another handout and threaten to move!

So it will either be a situation where it’s the Nashville White Sox, Winston-Salem Rays and the Schenectady Brewers because the bigger markets “had their chance”, or it will just be the Oakland White Sox, Chicago Brewers, and Milwaukee Rays all over again. A lot of these franchises are just tv fodder for the the big market teams at this point anyway. Unfortunately.

With as hot and humid as it is today, is go for an actual blizzard!

And some ice cream ones too.

Is it that shocking, Jon Heyman?

That's what I thought too.  That isn't shocking to me at all.  Perhaps the timing, but I fully expected something to happen there.

so the latest waiver wire pickup is batting third for the Twins.

How is this club in first place?

Look no further than the division they're on top of...

I second that thought, as it's also a steam bath of a day where I live (just outside Indianapolis).

I agree.  They've been basically treading water for far too many seasons to not expect their ownership group to say or do something like this.

I'm a bit surprised it didn't happen sooner.

It wasn't a surprise. But wasn't it Reinsdorf who made the decision to bring back LaRussa last year. And that dugout seems dysfunctional as all get up. I figured they were going to move off Anderson at the deadline.

I got played like a fiddle by my dog… We already went outside at 4:30 so he could go to the bathroom. He’s been pouting and whining by the door so I thought he had to 💩. Turns out the first walk wasn’t long enough for his liking.

Just get him a chicken gizzard blizzard and all will be well.

So now his potty break will come during the Twins big inning.  🤞

This one is actually good with very legitimate stuff.

…so, we’ll probably get to him

Former Twins evening update: both Ben Rortvedt and Eddie Rosario have gone yard for the Yanks and Braves, respectively. Nice to see 'em both get a hold of one tonight.
