I like the idea of Gallo 6 and Kepler 8. Not thrilled with Buxton leading off but in the absence of a tradional lead off guy, which we don't have, I'm good with him getting the most ABs. Like this lineup.

Currently drizzling, but should stop before gametime.

I don't think it's raining hard enough for them to call or delay it anyway.  At least that's the case in the south suburbs anyway.

No Salvy!  I hate when Quatraro just throws away games.

He's on the bench?

Maybe he'll be used for the late inning backbreaking pinch hit homer?

i guess i thought pinch hitting was implied... but it doesn't hurt to add adjectives...

with a four game series, there,s a better chance of them calling this game, if the rain picks up,and doubleheading it.  MLB has really changed its philosophy  in trying to get games in. In other words, the heck with the fans who have tickets and re-arranged their schedule to come to the game.

Good to see Kepler down the lineup card and Gallo moving up the lineup card a bit.

Takes Rocco time to figure these things out.

I'm guessing Buxton leading off and both Gallo and Kepler in the back half of the order will NOT be a trend against righties...but is, instead, a response to the extreme off-speed repertoire of Greinke....kind of a reverse-split thing. But, maybe I'm wrong

We've had very different experiences with this then.  It's barely drizzling and it's off and on.  There's no reason this game doesn't get in tonight.

Larnach might be interesting as lead off. Good walk rate, high OBP, seems to see a lot of pitches in a plate appearance

Plus there's rain in the forecast pretty much the whole weekend. Get the games in on the scheduled day whenever possible. If there's a bit of a delay here and there, that's baseball.

Ballpark looks awfully empty as of 5 minutes ago.  Why that?

The Royals and a cool, cloudy night probably have a lot to do with it.

Not one Twin in the lineup batting in the .100s! Things are looking up. Kepler has been hitting, and Correa is attempting to be at .200, but the Royals have 5 in the .100s and 6 of 9 .200 or lower! Yikes.

Didn't pay attention--has he thrown any fastballs?

Yes. 88-89, last one for a K at 91.

Definitely lower velo

The sound and video are not synched on my MLB.TV feed tonight.

Maybe the Twins' pitchers should throw more synchers!

Noticed that too.
