HR is a bonus, but quality at bats and putting the ball in play for defenses to make plays is sound baseball Can you forward this to Byron Buxton, and its not meant as Criticism
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 The Twins are playing with a lot of daunt right now! ?

This kind of response after two walkoff losses is magnificent...and something to keep in mind regardless of the slumps or bad losses yet to come. Good against bad teams except for Cleveland and maybe Detroit

stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 One more good inning of hitting could get Lynn out of there. I’ve seen him settle down after rough starts before.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 If the Twins are good at strategy, they will deliberately look to take pitches this inning. Goal is to put Lynn on 80 pitches by inning's end.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Why would Gordon be auditioning for the Sox?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Gameday is telling me Gordon reached 1st on an error, but was called out? That's not an error, is it?
Parfigliano Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Baserunning? I never heard of it.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 The Sox fielding is pathetic. Fortunately for them, the Twins baserunning is even more pathetic. Honestly, why would Gordon think he could advance to second on a ball in shallow right field?
Steve71 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Gordon has been watching the White Sox run the bases the last couple days, apparently....
Tlaker Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 So many Little League plays out there smh
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 This team is terrible on the bases

The Sox committed an error on Gordon's routine ground ball to first. Gordon stupidly thought he could stretch it to a double, realized he couldn't, but was too far off first, and so got thrown out trying to get back.

Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Jackie Robinson wouldn't have hit a check swing popout.

James Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Alright. Did some work and now it's time to listen to the game and "work".

That's not an error, is it? Gordon hit a hard grounder that the first baseman couldn’t handle. I thought it would be called a hit, but the ball rolled into short right. Gordon thought he might make second, slipped and was thrown out trying to retreat to first.
wavedog Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Seems like the Sox catchers are batting about 1.000 against us this series

I picture La Russa getting his diaper changed and being spoon fed mashed peas between innings. Is that a joke about him being super old? Or about him being a whiney baby? Reader's choice.
