PDX Twin Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 So much for turning double plays into doubles...
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 All these DPs reminding us why SOs aren't the end of the world....
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Even Dick is disgusted with the amount of double plays.

Or maybe there will be a disaster in the field. We all know it's going to happen, we just don't know how and when.
umterp23 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 1st pitch swinging on fast ball with a runner on, you better hit hard and not a routine groundball. Routine it was. Not a good at bat. situational hitting still lacking with Professional ballplayers

stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Urshela really like to swing at the first pitch.

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Lewis Thorpe released to make room for Cotton, who cleared waivers earlier today.

Royals are schooling us on "we're only down 1-0, at home." My pick to click: Pagan gets the ninth and coughs up the lead. Sorry to be a Negative Nelly there. Just got that feeling.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 If we are going to take fielding statistics and earned runs seriously, we really need professional scorers.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Been stuck in class until now. I see I haven't missed any offense.

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 I imagine that's it for Ryan. Very nice outing again. Love what I'm seeing from him.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Only one K today and six yesterday. Sometimes teams go through slumps like this. Damned if you do (bunt, steal, hit and run), damned if you don’t. Wind keeps possible homers in play and the opponents make good plays. They will bust out, but the longer this goes on, the further back they’ll be.

Don't know about KC but we have good scorers in the Twin Cities. But don't blame them, the league has defined how they want errors called and they are not to my liking either but it's standardized across the majors.

RpR Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 I presume I am a lot older than most of you but there used to be a lot of games like this and I do not expect the Twins to suddenly go to hell. I do not care if neither team gets another hit if the Twins win.

The book would say he's done. Weighing against taking him out now, though, is everyone's knowledge that the bullpen has been shaky. I'd say, he gets one baserunner after which he sits.
chpettit19 Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Only half watching, have I missed the obligatory "high fives in the dugout" for Ryan yet or is he coming back out for the 7th?
