Naturally...

because, if, being omnipotent, they would have so little to do... they would watch and care about baseball. right.

Hey man let me say this: Brett Gardner is the longest tenured Yankee of all, and that gives him special Twins killing powers. But it doesn’t change the fact that he still looks like Wayne from the Wonder Years, and is thereby, inexorably a butthead.

They shift to the right, and then pitch up or outside. Sure seems not very analytical to me. It is like you forget that you have decided to shift, and pitch to let them get a hit anyway.

Perhaps some credit for the hitter putting a tough pitch in play is due.

The only way the Twins can score is with HR's. I was criticized for suggesting that they try scoring in other ways.

That is the easiest way to score in the playoffs. Given that pitching (outside MN) is better in the playoffs, you are much less likely to string together multiple hits than to score by HR.

It has made baseball less interesting to watch, but that's one of the reasons for the HR revolution.

Regardless of what happens tonight, its going to be a very interesting offseason for Derek Falvey..this team is pretty good but needs some tweaking, mostly on the pitching side..lets see if falvey puts his money where his mouth is

Sure. I'll spend my copious spare time finding ways to give the yankees' players credit, especially Gardner. I will leave that to you. Both are fair observations, I guess.

Sure, but the point still stands. If you're going to play your 3B in and 15 steps off the line, don't pitch the batter on the outside edge.
