He needs to get that runner in from third base.  This team can't afford 'good' pop outs.

We get nothing here it's a potential game changer.

 

They had a 10% chance of winning the series entering the game, based on the 2-2-1 format's history.

 

If they score 0 runs with bases loaded and no outs, that probability drops to .000000001%

 

Ok, fine, I just made that up by mashing a bunch of zero's, but I bet it's true anyway.
