USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Can't K there, Garver. Can't K. Two pitches to hit on 3-1 and 3-2. Choke.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Also, if it hasn’t been mentioned yet, but maybe a start for Castro was in order too.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Missed a FB right down Broadway. I just.... Speechless.
gocgo Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Got a pitch to hit. We can't count on the umps. At some point we need to get it done.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 When every marginal call goes one team's way, you know the umpires are rooting for somebody.
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Next season. Fewer Home Runs and better situational hitting. 2019 Twins had fewer solo HR and more HR with bases occupied than the Yankees.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I can’t do this anymoreI am so with you. What’s our plan?
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 From bases loaded with that b.s. strike call , with Arreaz up , nuttin working for the good guys, DEPRESSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Got a pitch to hit. We can't count on the umps. At some point we need to get it done. I would like to count on the ump to do his job, at the very least.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 You would think that the umps would try to make this fixing job a little less conspicuous....
Blake Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I can only assume that Gardner will lay one down if he shifts too far away and the data was probably saying shift. With 2 strikes, though?
insagt1 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 and another k on a 3-2 pitch. Have we managed ONE baserunner with a 3-2 count. My kingdom for a two out clutch hit. don't know whether to laugh or cry at these guys. They are preparing to put the stamp on the letter that mails this one in.Even Cruz had a bat AB...a lazy first pitch fly out. Twins hitters tonite have elevated crap to an art form. Is Severino that good...or are the Twins simply that terrible? k, k, k, k, k, k, k,......suddenly thats all these guys can do.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Not ready for prime time. They're scared. You can see it in their eyes. If this was a war, they'd already be surrendering.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Clearly ball 4 but Garver missed two piped fastballs right afterwards. Can't miss a 3-1 pitch like that at this stage.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Through 3 innings the Twins have 4 hits and 2 walks which should mean at least 1 run, but somehow the team has managed to choke away every opportunity.
Blake Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Can't K there, Garver. Can't K. Two pitches to hit on 3-1 and 3-2. Choke.Yeah, but the ump missed ball 4 and not by a little bit. Had to be a bit disconcerting to see that called a strike when it has been called a ball up to that point.
gocgo Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 When every marginal call goes one team's way, you know the umpires are rooting for somebody.I don't know about every one...but the ones that seem to matter. When you think about it, if we hadn't appealed early in the first game, we would have had that one go against us too.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 The pitch was up and in. I'll give you up and middle (even though it was about at the 2/3 point past the half way toward the outside of the zone), but not up and in.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 FIFY Only if they don't lead the league.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Kepler was playing at the fence.
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Thanks ump, of course Garver strikes out after thatThat would have merely loaded the bases, correct? How do we think that would have turned out?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 They're scared. You can see it in their eyes. If this was a war, they'd already be surrendering.Funny, they don't look French.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Because we needed god brought into this. Who brought that up?Jesus...….it was a joke man. swidt….
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 And God gives Stanton a broken bat fly ball. So, why do we do this?!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Kepler was playing at the fence.Yeah what the hell was that?
