They seem to be stocking up on AAA pitchers. One might wonder if in deals being discussed include moving a few of the AAA prospects. It seems like 10 of them have had auditions this year.

His second player comp is Juan Rincon.

Keith Atherton too, a little further down the list. 1987 all over again?

Maybe the FO is hoping the Yankees will be laughing so hard they can't swing the bat?

al worthington wasn’t available?

I heard he took a call for Ron Perranoski by mistake and hung up on Falvey.

According to baseball reference, Torres hasn’t had a salary since 2017. I guess the union’s been losing more ground than I realized. No indication yet on whether this was a factor in the Twins deciding to sign him.

Yikes we dumped Blake Parker to add Carols Torres, I know Parker was struggling to throw strikes but not sure adding a soft throwing guy to a bullpen mix that is 16th in the American League in ERA is going to help much. Would rather have swung and miss with Romero or Gonsalves than try this. In fact both Romero and Gonsalves should be mad at themselves that they are not options the Twins could use at this point.

Gonsalves isn’t an option, and won’t be on option all year, apparently. Injured, then shut down two months ago. I do find it interesting that they don’t seem to be terribly motivated to give Romero another try.

He was shut down for a month, then has been back for 4 games.

You have to be more specific, which sport.

Torres, soccer possibly? Not sure if they carry a 40 man roster though, it’s awfully fast paced to count all the players.

I can understand if the Twins are playing .500 baseball (wait, they are...forthe last month). Jeez. Okay. Lots of prospects in the minors. Won't be able to protect them all. Will just release or Rule 5 or let them walk as minor league free agents in the next couple of seasons. Because we can still find rejects, use them and abuse them, and send them along to another team.

Just what you do in a pennant race!

2018 he was with the Nats and this season was with Detroit.

Pretty sure that if he was at b-r.com to notice this little glitch in the record-keeping in order to make a joke about it, he noticed the actual play record as well.
