I hope the Twins have a plan for the rest of the draft. Seems like a huge reach. Probably won't stick at SS and there are questions about his hit tool. Give me a plus hit tool over plus power tool any day.

The more recently updated boards (like Fangraphs) had him in the low 20s, and he went in the mid teens in a few late mocks, so it's safe to say he had helium.

 

Should probably be a bit underslot, but I'd guess it was between Cavaco and Stott and they like the tools and projection on Cavaco better.

yeah he recently popped up.  He could be better than all of them he might have a higher ceiling than Stott or Carroll but I feel like his floor is much lower with the suspect hit tool.   How many times do you see great athletes that just aren't that good at the plate,  Kid is young and made strides I just think there is more risk in this than the others.

Well, Cavaco turned 18 yesterday, and Miranda is OPS'ing .627 as a 21 year-old in a league that Sano OPS'd 1.079 as a 20 year-old. I'll be pulling for Sano to hang at 3rd for a few more years yet.
