  1. Are all of these kids signing for under $150k?
  2. It's making me feel old that I even remember where that joke came from.
  3. That joke is from, what 2002? It's almost old enough to vote.
  4. Gotta hand it to the bullpen, with out them these games wouldn't be close.
  5. So Eades goes down for 10 days?
  6. So why was Eades sent down for Romero? Eades has been downright competent so far.
  7. I'm following along on game-day, so I don't how accurate it is all the time, but hasn't Rosario swung at a number of pitches well out of the strike-zone today?
  8. Eades getting the job done with only mild heart burn. Trending in the right direction!
  9. No, you're right, I was thinking of Brian Bass. I got my Basses mixed up.
  10. Duuude.... Marwin's been so clutch lately.
  11. Anthony Bass is still around? That's a blast from the past.
  12. I feel like every time a Twins reliever gives up a run, everyone should start sarcastically chanting "Kimbrel! Kimbrel! Kimbrel!"
  13. The problem with Royce is that he has not shown any improvement. Since June 1st is hitting .240/.235/.280. In 51 PAs he has not drawn a single walk and hit only a pair of doubles. In terms of OPS, he's actually regressed throughout the year.
  14. Rooker seems to be turning the corner at AAA... Look out! Including tonight's game, he's had an even 50 PA since June 1st. In those 50 PA he's struck out only 12 times, drawn 12 walks (24%), and hit .429/.540/.629!
  15. I was wondering when we were going to see this thread. I heard that a lot of the top picks will be in town this week to do physicals, sign and meet the players and coaches. Has anyone heard if that's still the case?
  16. In that time period he's allowed a HR/ Flyball % of 31.3% (or HR/9 of 3.65, if you prefer) and yet has a strand rate of 88.9%. So it could have been much, much worse.
  17. SInce May 1st Blake Parker has an xFIP of 5.16. Why he is being used in any situation other than mop up duty is beyond me.
  18. I like Gipson. If they can teach him some secondary pitches. He gets K's and limits walks, but he has been very hittable in a weak conference.
  19. I'm assuming there will be plenty of money left to sign Holland.
  20. I was hoping for Graeme Stinson, but I like Steer. Added some power this year. OPS'd .974 in the Pac-12 this season and hit over .300 with 5 HR's in the wood bat Cape Cod league last summer.
  21. I'm confused, are you saying Adam Dunn was a bad player? I think if Sano can hit like Adam Dunn and stick at 3B long term, there's a ton of positive value there. Dunn was a 25.6 fWAR player mostly playing at 1B (he was a God awful defender there) and DH'ing.
  22. I know I'm late to this thread, but I wanted to throw these career slash lines out there: Player A: .237/.364/.490; wRC+ 123 Player B: .245/.336/.484; wRC+ 118 Ratio of XBH to Singles: Player A: .977 Player B: .884 Can you tell who is who? Player A: Adam Dunn Player B: Miguel Sano Would you dump Adam Dunn, a routine 40 HR, 100 RBI hitter?
