  1. Odorizzi was available for Palacios probably because Odorizzi allowed 1.88 HR/9 and and an xFIP of 5.10 last year. I hope the Twins see something I don't with Sanchez and Odorizzi. Both were cheap for a reason. Super underwhelming.
  2. Probably a better plan than "DRAFT ALL RELIEVERS!"
  3. Twins need to get what they can get on Kintzler at this point. Don't overplay your hand, rookies.
  4. I like the Garcia for Ynoa straight up. The Recker portion, not so much. That cost us Haley. Recker must have negative trade value- I mean the Braves tossed in $100k. So we probably had to take him off of the Braves in order to talk them down from different prospect they were set on, but we weren't willing to let go.
  5. But why???!! Just to lose Haley? I'd much rather have Haley then Recker, who is not only bad, but redundant.
  6. If Garver is part of a package that brings back a controllable starter with multiple years of team control left that helps both now and in the future, I'm fine with that. For example, Gordon and Garver + for Sonny Gray. But not for a rental. Especially a league average or worse NL starter.
  7. If the Braves want Garver, I'd take a hard pass. The Twins aren't quite ready for primetime as a team, yet so they really should not be trading a top 15 prospect for a rental.
  8. At first I was like "Ew, Jaime Garcia? No way." Then I'm like, ok if he doesn't cost anything more than a Kohl Stewart. So basically low teens level prospect or worse.
  9. is definitely balk at Wade. But I'd be ok with Stewart.
  10. I love me some good curveballs. I prefer a good curveball over velocity any day.
  11. Interesting to see if they can come up with enough money to convince Spicer and/or the kid from Canada to sign.
  12. Some of those drafts were before the slotting system was put in place. So the rules were different.
  13. Some are high schoolers or college juniors that end up going to (or back) to school and get drafted again.
  14. I've seen some scouting reports saying he was one of the top JC players this year. Can't recall where I saw it though. Maybe minorleagueball? Either way, may be an overslot guy. Has a commitment to LSU next year.
  15. Barnes had strong K/9 (10+) and BB/9 (sub 2) numbers in a solid conference this year. But a 8.70 H/9 means he was extremely hittable.
  16. Guessing Burns or Beck weren't signable?
