gil4 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Twins on the clock!Come on guys. Don't bust the time like the Vikings did back in the day. (Twins fans worry better than anyone.)
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I just love being so fascinated by a draft that has proven to be such a crapshoot and a player who probably won't even arrive for at least 3 years. Love being a fanatic! Lol! nicksaviking 1
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Welcome to the Twins, Keoni Cavaco!!! PseudoSABR, glunn and nicksaviking 3
Dman Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Wow this guy better be good because there were some good players there. glunn, twins_89 and d-mac 3
sftwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 See they went with the money saving route again. Has some talent, will come down to their development. Hope they save a little on the signing to grab a high school kid sliding later. Richie the Rally Goat, glunn, caninatl04 and 3 others 6
twins_89 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Twins break with the experts, wonder what they saw in Cavaco that others didn't. glunn and D.C Twins 2
Roaddog Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Wow this guy better be good because there were some good players there.Fastest riser. And there are still plenty of talent left glunn 1
ChrisKnutson Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Miranda and Cavaco; pretty good backup options to Sano. DocBauer and glunn 2
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 YEAH!!!!!!!!!! KEONI!!!!!!!!!!!
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Would have liked to have seen that lefty from Kentucky be the guy. I guess we'll see in a couple years. glunn and Danchat 2
caninatl04 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I'm guessing way under slot. # 28 ranking Let Flavine use the extra money to do their magic. nicksaviking, d-mac, jokin and 2 others 5
twins_89 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I'll be curious if the Twins try to go overslot at #39. nicksaviking, glunn, DocBauer and 1 other 4
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Wow this guy better be good because there were some good players there. He wasn’t one of them? I honestly don’t know. glunn and Monkeypaws 2
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I'm guessing way under slot. # 28 ranking Let Flavine use the extra money to do their magic. What magic? They have not needed to go under slot in any draft yet to make any signings. Got no issue with the pick, but not what I expected. nicksaviking 1
d-mac Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I hope the Twins have a plan for the rest of the draft. Seems like a huge reach. Probably won't stick at SS and there are questions about his hit tool. Give me a plus hit tool over plus power tool any day. Twins33 and caninatl04 2
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Keoni just turned 18 yesterday!!!! What a Birthday present!!!!! nicksaviking, Mike Sixel and glunn 3
caninatl04 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Tons of injury worries. In a vacuum this is a horrible (C-, Jonny Flynn) pick. But lets see how the bonus money works out.
2wins87 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I'm guessing way under slot. # 28 ranking Let Flavine use the extra money to do their magic. The more recently updated boards (like Fangraphs) had him in the low 20s, and he went in the mid teens in a few late mocks, so it's safe to say he had helium. Should probably be a bit underslot, but I'd guess it was between Cavaco and Stott and they like the tools and projection on Cavaco better. glunn, Monkeypaws and caninatl04 3
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I usually like the unexpected picks, they give me way more hope that the front office didn’t fall victim to group think. wyowib, jokin, bird and 1 other 4
caninatl04 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 They had better. Stott was a much safer pick. I still trust that their next two picks will reveal their strategy. d-mac 1
Dman Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 He wasn’t one of them?I honestly don’t know. yeah he recently popped up. He could be better than all of them he might have a higher ceiling than Stott or Carroll but I feel like his floor is much lower with the suspect hit tool. How many times do you see great athletes that just aren't that good at the plate, Kid is young and made strides I just think there is more risk in this than the others. 70charger, d-mac and glunn 3
70charger Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 The lack of contact skills really worries me. D.C Twins, PseudoSABR, glunn and 2 others 5
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 From Andrew's report, quality glove man at 3B with power and power potential. Elongated swing is the issue. D.C Twins and glunn 2
2wins87 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 They'll have plenty of time to work on his swing and all of the other aspects of his game. TheLeviathan, glunn and DocBauer 3
jkcarew Verified Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Miranda and Cavaco; pretty good backup options to Sano.Well, Cavaco turned 18 yesterday, and Miranda is OPS'ing .627 as a 21 year-old in a league that Sano OPS'd 1.079 as a 20 year-old. I'll be pulling for Sano to hang at 3rd for a few more years yet. ChrisKnutson, glunn, Major League Ready and 3 others 6
Billy Amick Wichita Wind Surge - AA 1B/3B Despite hitting just .194, the 23-year-old ranks fourth in the Texas League in Home Runs (17) and sixth in RBI (50). Explore Billy Amick News >
